Performance and features[]
- Cargo capacity: 3 metric tons.
- Maximum speed: 95 km/h.
- Engine: 4 liter V4 with a carburator.
- Cabin capacity: 2 persons, or 1 person and 2 goats, or 3 goats.
- Special features:
- When originally purchased, the potato compartment (Soviet version of the glove compartment) came equipped with 3 potatoes and 1 sausage.
- There's a clock in the dashboard, but it's always set to Moscow time.
- Radiological seat warming system. The seats contain radioactive powder and are radiation proof themselves. The radiation then keeps the seats warm for about 10 years. Radiological systems became unpopular after the Chernobyl disaster, so this feature was discontinued after 1987. Then it was replaced by a radiator in the cab that had engine exhaust gas from the muffler flow though it.
