Something Rediscovered is a mission in Just Cause 4: International Waters.
Description[]
In-game map description: "The recent theft of plans from Próspero Submarinos has left The Agency scrambling to dig their heels in and defend Islas de los Perdidos. Meet up with Sargento, Izzy, and an old friend to discuss what to do next."
The marker location is just outside of Próspero Submarinos.
Walkthrough[]
Once you start the mission, a cutscene will play. Rico will enter a door to a bunker, and inside is a room filled with whiteboards, screens, tables with supplies them and other miscellaneous things. Sargento and Izzy will be standing inside.
Sargento: " Ah, Rico. Great timing. We have arranged somebody that we think you should talk to."
Izzy: "He has a lot of intel on the Agency."
Rico: "Great. Let me see him."
César Pedrone walks into the room.
César: "Hello Rico."
Rico: "Oh. César. It's been a while. How'd your TV pitch work out?"
César: "Bah, those producers don't know talent when they see it. They said I was 'too out there' for television. But that's not why I'm here. I hear you're taking on The Agency?"
Rico: "Sí, you could say that. They've got something going on here, but we don't know what."
César: "The Agency always has something sketchy. You of all people know that. But this is... different. I know what they're after here."
Rico: "Really. It's not another one of your conspiracy theories, is it?"
César: "They're not theories, they're truths! And I believe I have more than enough evidence for this one."
César walks over to a whiteboard with a tarp over it. He pulls it off of the board, revealing pictures, newspaper clippings, and lines connecting them.
César: "This is what they're after." He points to the picture in the middle of the board, depicting Zona Cuatro. "This is Zona Cuatro. It was shut down after an earthquake struck the facility. But! I know that the earthquake came from this very facility..."
Rico: "So what does the Agency want with it?"
César: "That's the million dollar question. It's because they want revenge after Illapa. They want to use the facility to create an earthquake so big, it completely destroys Solís. Look here." César points to a news clipping. The headline reads "Thousands feared dead in 9.5 magnitude earthquake, nearby government project suspected cause."
César: "Here! There's a lot of evidence Zona Cuatro was the cause of the world's largest earthquake! Now, with their efforts to take over the island, I think The Agency is going to try and turn it back on. Who knows what could happen then."
Rico looks up and down the board, saying "That... actually makes sense. We might have something. I did notice large waves coming from that island. If you're right, we need to do something about this, and fast. The people of Solís have suffered enough."
Sargento: "We'll have to make a plan then. First, we need a way to get through the massive waves. Then, we need to figure out how to shut it down. Finally, we'll have to kick The Agency out of Solís for good."
Rico: "We can get the boat from Puerto Misterios. Most of the patrol boats near there are heavily armored, so if we capture one, we could modify it using parts there to survive the waves."
Izzy: "I'll make a device that should be able to shut down the facility. I'll need parts for it. They can probably be found in (placeholder, put location in mountain region). Then we just need to get out, without the Agency finding us."
César: "I'll go with... somebody. We can take a submarine from Próspero Submarinos and create a diversion. Then you should be able to slip out."
Rico: "All that's left is rooting out The Agency. Leave that to me."
Sargento: "So we have a plan. Let's do this. Oh, and uh, Rico. Call me if something happens."
Rico: "Alright. Let's take down the Agency."
Rico gets in a Weaponized Dondequiera Fanboat and is taken to a small dock near Segunda Pueblo. This is where the mission ends.
