Sloppy Seconds is an episode of Code Indigo in Operation Indigo.

January 1st, 2036

Synopsis: Battle can be messy sometimes.

Characters[]

Plot[]

The episode starts right after the previous, with a battle in Casa Mayu. Since they never fought the Zheitua before, the latter easily gains the upper hand. This prompts the army to retreat to El Abismo. Mira and Rico check in on Luis, Garland, and Rosa while Sheldon stays with the Army of Chaos.

On the former group's end, Luis tells Mira and Rico that Rosa and Garland gave him some useful information. Garland starts with her news, which explains something about the show. During the meeting, the host told her and Vfen to make the show less crazy, and to feature her less as she was the main reason it went off-the-wall in the first place. Rosa then shares her news, which is the reason she was unable to contact them before.

The scene then goes back in time to show Sheldon's side of the plot. The Army of Chaos member asks him if Izzy is okay, with Sheldon assuring him that she is. He even calls Calanque Camp to make sure. Zhuinella picks up the phone and tells him that Izzy is fine before he has the chance to ask her. Sheldon gets off the phone and tells the soldier, which relieves the latter. He then introduces himself as Martinez.

Sheldon tells him that the only thing he knows will kill the Zheitua is snapping bullets in half, which works with any bullet type. He demonstrates this concept and Martinez and his teammates quickly succeed in performing it. Afterwards, the two groups regroup, now ready for the next attack.

They arrive at Casa Mayu, where the area is at first eerily silent. That is, until the Zheitua come out of the dark background, only for them to reveal themselves as the Black Hand. It turns out that while they did form a truce with the Army of Chaos, some of the former's forces were either absent at the truce meeting or still hate them despite it. Garland then tells Vfen (who is outside the show) to cut the episode short as she believes they will need at least a week to settle the dispute, with Vfen doing so. To be continued...

Trivia[]

General[]

  • The title is a reference to a sexual phrase of the same name.
    • The title was chosen as battles can get "sloppy". The "seconds" part refers to the short duration of the battle.
    • There are no sex scenes, in case that needed clarification.
    • The white substance on the title card is left unknown, but it is not anything wrong.
    • Later on, in Ground Beef, the substance is confirmed to be milk Vfen accidentally spilled on it.
  • The synopsis is meant as a huge understatement.
  • This is a reserved episode.
  • The concept of snapping bullets returns, and is now shown to work with all bullets.

Notebook synopsis[]

  • This was originally written on a notebook with the following synopsis. "RR (Rico Rodriguez) finally faces off against Uzveld, but it turns out worse than expected." This synopsis changed drastically, with Uzveld not being in the final episode.
