The People's Liberation Army of Pesmaria, or PLAP, is a faction in the Just Cause 4: Karthstan expansion pack - Just Cause: Pesmaria.

The People's Liberation Army of Pesmaria or PLAP is a communist insurgent organization. It was founded in the 1980s shortly after Mex Papadopoulos's coup. They are small but a formidable fighting force.
History[]
Most of their history is unknown. What is known is that they started off as a communist movement in the 1950s and were against the monarchy.
In the 1970s, their then leader met Mex, who was planning a coup. However, their views clashed with Mex's. Eventually, Mex left them and went to a disillusioned general and the two became friends.
In 1980, the coup began. In a few minutes, the monarchy was overthrown and then Mex turned his sights on the communist movement. Mex ordered some spies in the movement to begin attacking Mex's soldiers, creating the excuse for Mex that the communist movement were terrorists.
Many of their members were either killed or imprisoned, but a soldier, Altair Arete, rallied up the remnants of the communist movement and founded PLAP.
In the coming years, they were known to be behind major terror attacks and sieges against Mex's regime.
In 2016, Rico arrives in Pesmaria to search for James Kane. He later comes across PLAP and can choose them from the beginning of the game.

- PLAP, like the KRSL, is based on many communist insurgent organizations, mostly inspired by the earliest days of the People's Liberation Army of China, led by Mao.
- They share many similarities with the KRSL, as the two were communist movements before being outlawed and the two are insurgent organizations.
