On Location Gobi Desert is a mission in Operation Indigo.

Plot[]

The mission starts at Urgafest Grounds, where Garland and her crew are packing up for the next scene. She asks the team to help, which they do. She tells the trio that in the next scene, they will be on location, exploring the nearby desert. She then hops in the van, mentioning that Adele will not be filming the event because she wants to watch the success as it pours down. Instead, she hired a new cameraman, Cameron. He is unhappy about this, but reluctantly agrees to the part as it is one of the only jobs he can qualify for as it does not involve paperwork. It also pays well, ruling out the other jobs he qualifies for. Garland simply brushes this off as him being dramatic, telling him to lighten up.

Cameron stares at her unamused, but continues packing anyways. They get finished loading up the van and head off to the next location. The scene then transitions to the filming set in the Gobi Desert, where the crew is preparing the scene. Garland says that it is the start of a weekly miniseries featuring landmarks across Asia, with potential plans of a follow-up if it gains traction.

They reach the location, where Garland's crew sets up camp. Her plan is to drive across the desert and capture images during the ride while describing the scenery. The drive starts out as expected, with the drivers driving their buggies through the desert. After a few hours and landmarks, a strong wind blows towards them. It ends up sending them flying.

This is where the mission ends.

Trivia[]

  • The original title had a colon between the words "Location" and "Gobi".
  • Regarding the title card:
  • This is the first mission to have a transition effect, being a clapperboard.
  • Both this mission and the next have a similar title to On Location, ASAP!, a random encounter in Just Cause 4 that is related to Garland.
