Montanha dos generai is the highest point on Ilha do carrasco.
Description[]
Montanha dos generai is a 5928m tall stratovolcano, forming a majority of Ilha do carrasco. It is the only place on the island that has year-round snow cover, and is renowned for being the "toughest mountaineering challenge in the Atlantic", it is the most recognisable feature in the entirety of Ilha do carrasco, being visible from nearly everywhere.
It's an incredibly steep mountain, making any attempt to reach the summit very difficult by foot. The steepness also makes it very unstable, and is prone to frequent rock-slides, the largest of them being in 1769, resulting from a eruption from the main vent.
Before Liberator of Worlds there is a large compound belonging to Dre Strabo on its high flanks, this is presumably destroyed in the mission, however its location is still classified as a settlement even after its destruction, implying that there may still be a base there, either way this is only accessible during the previously mentioned mission.
Eruptions[]
The island's largest recorded eruption happened in roughly 1769. This resulted in a volcanic winter that lasted a year in western Europe. The eruption is said to have been a VEI 7 in scale. Minor eruptions in 1770, 1771, 1801, 1812, 1815, 1823, 1830, 1832, 1850, 1875, 1883, 1886, 1890, 1900, 1921, 1932, 1940, 1951, and 1952 are also said to have happened according to recent scientific studies.
In 1969, the volcano erupted violently again, destroying the then de-facto capital, Aldeia da montanha, and after a long period of inactivity, again in 2019, during the mission Liberator of Worlds.

- As measured from its underwater base, it's the tallest volcanic structure in the world.
- It was first climbed by the great explorer Jezza, who later had the Império IC-2 "Jezza" named after him.
- Despite semi-frequent activity, it still retains a vast, picturesque forest on its lower flanks.
- The old caldera formed in the 1769 eruption now has a large crater lake inside of it.
- The 2019 eruption is of particular significance due to its effect on Liberator of Worlds, the final mission in the Just Cause: ilha do carrasco fan fiction project.
- The mountain was renamed in 2007 after the island's general, Dre Strabo.
- Whilst at the start of the story it is 5928 meters high, during the events of Liberator of Worlds it is shortened to roughly 5380 meters.
- This is by far the highest point in any Just Cause game to date.
- If a player reaches its highest point before the final mission, they get an achievement for it.
