Medici is First is a far-right political party in New and Improved Medici. It primarily advocates for conservatives family policies, and Pro-Europeanism.
History[]
The party was founded as a movement, and many students joined the movement supporting their Pro-European policies.
The party was founded by economist and political philosophy professor Bellino Botta. The party advocates for conservatism and anti-immigration policies, and sees Medici's accession to the European Union as a top priority.
Medici is First first entered the Parliament of Medici when, in 2017, 11 members left Federation Medici out of protest of the groupings stance on the New Flag Legislation. The same year Medici is First and European Medici held the "European Medician Future Congress" in the capital, were they discussed and signed agreements and pledges about Medici's accession to the EU.
In 2018, Bellino Botta recieved a seat in the Chamber of Deputies, following the tragic passing of one of Medici is First MP's, who died in a car accident in Libeccio.
In 2019, the party came third in elections and got into parliament for a second term. They became the largest party of the right.
In 2021, after the departure of the Populists from government, they signed a confidence and supply agreement with Esci. This was controversial amongst right-wing politicians with both Erico Andreotti and Tamara Ressa commenting that Medici is First is "a disappointment to conservative Medicians". Bellino Botta commented on the comments saying "In our campaign we promised stability, and despite this not being our government, this is fulfilling a campaign promise."
