The Mechanica Potestas Firmitudo Carruca is a strange old machine in fiction by GMRE.
Description[]
The name is in latin and seems to indicate that it's a powered wagon of sorts, but its purpose is unknown. It it believed to have been constructed in the 1520s, according to sketches drawn by the great Leonardo of Vinci. It's considered by some to have been the earliest automobile.
The vehicle is powered by springs, which are controlled by a system of sprockets. The springs themselves are powered by stored mechanical energy from a hand crank.
Performance[]
Officially it's unknown, but presumably not very fast. Considering the lack of suspension and the wooden construction, it would indeed be scary to drive faster than 30 km/h on even the smoothest roads.
Imagine grappling a ballista, or old-timy cannon to the top of it for a historically accurate conversion to a technical.
Locations[]
In a hidden chamber at the Castle and resort. The player has to activate a hidden lever in an active fireplace to open a door to the chamber. This can be accomplished by grappling the fire until locating the lever.
Trivia[]
