The LIFT-?¿? Reality Drone is an accidental creation by the Medici Department of Infrastructure in New and Improved Medici
History[]
During a routine transport, a LIFT-MS/R Construction Drone carrying several kilograms of bavarium in northern Rocca Blau was reported to have vanished. While signals sent by the drone were still present, the drone had not been recovered. The Medici Department of Infrastructure claims a crash occurred, but has not released any other information. Since the incident, reports of strange objects in the sky have been reported. Many citizens across Medici have reported a strange blue light in the sky, some fearing it to be a sign of impending doom.
Description[]
While still unproven to exist, most describe it as a standard-looking LIFT drone with a slight purple hue and exterior damage. It has been reported appearing in a flash of light, moving erratically, and disappearing in another flash. Strange noises are then heard coming from it, almost like human speech, but no words have been made out.
Potential Explanations[]
Given these circumstances, multiple theories have arisen.
- It may be a spy drone sent by another country to gain information on bavarium processing. The drone may have crashed and been recovered by another country, or it could just happen to appear as a LIFT drone.
- It may be evidence of an alien race, and the drone descriptions are unrelated, or that it has been in some way altered by extraterrestrial interference. This seems highly unlikely, though it would explain the seemingly supernatural occurrences.
- The leading theory is that it has become infused with bavarium, giving it some time altering ability, or even reality altering. This is the most compelling due to 4 objects recovered from a site where it was sighted. 2 are seemingly insignificant, a broken wristwatch made by a local company and a spare tire for a Verdeleon 3. However, two other objects of interest were recovered. A book written by an author who claims they never wrote it, despite apparently having won multiple awards and the other, a newspaper containing headlines of events that never happened, including the total destruction of southern Insula Fonte by a bavarium missile. While a bavarium missile was interned to be used in the area during the the Medician Civil War, Rico Rodriguez prevented the missile from reaching its target. The most convincing part however: all of these objects have been authenticated, despite never being created.
Further study is being conducted by the Medici Department of History and Science, but efforts are usually in vain, as the drone seems to disappear from thin air when kept for too long.
