The Knights of Fiorella are a faction and political party in New and Improved Medici and fiction by GMRE.

Original Knights of Fiorella[]

This faction was formed in 1652 by Medici noblemen, as a secret plot to murder King Leopold I of Medici and end his regime of heretical tyranny.

The plot was named after Fiorella, because the King was known to worship that godess, so this allowed the noblemen to avoid suspicion from authorities.

After having accomplished this, they looted the former king of the Gladius Ex Virtute Magnifico (a supposedly magical sword) and disappeared with it. In the decades following, a few elderly noblemen did claim to have once been participants of the plot, but they apparently didn't know the fate of the sword.

Modern Knights of Fiorella[]

In modern times, there's a minor political party by this name who demand that Medici should:

  • Dedicate more money to the preservation of its ancient temples.
  • Create a state-funded laboratory to research the possibility of there being an immortal godess somewhere in the world and invite her back to Medici, after she has been located.
  • Search all of Medici to find the Gladius Ex Virtute Magnifico, which they insist is an extraordinary ancient superweapon capable of controlling and weaponizing lightning.
  • Fund a team of mountain climbers to go look for a rumored ancient temple where the statues apparently move.

This modern group was obviously established only after Di Ravello was defeated and has no real connection to the original knights that every medician kid has learned about in history class.

During the most recent elections they did not manage to achieve the required 3% of votes necessary to get themselves represented by a single member at the Chamber of Deputies of Medici (parliament), however they are often mentioned and listed among other minor parties.

Criticism[]

The party is mainly criticized (or even ridiculed) for not simply knowing where the sword is, because it was apparently their group who stole it and for believing in "stupid legends" like the one about the hidden temple somewhere in the mountains where statues apparently move. And why don't they just ask to borrow the lightning weapon from Rico?

Trivia[]

  • Unless someone would make a very old-timy prequel, this article only expands the lore of Medici.
