Just Cause: Rebellion is a fan fiction project by User:Anonymous230385.
Difference[]
Similar to the original Just Cause, let us just say the San Esperito Military's morale is so terrible, defections will be widespread.
Chapter 1[]
2005.
Rico Rodriguez jumps out of the Agency cargo plane, and parachutes down to the beach. Upon landing, he eliminates a few San Esperito Military soldiers wielding Aviv Scarabs, then mans the Mounted Gun at the back of the Agency MV.
After destroying a roadblock and several pursuing Wallys GPs and Delta 5H4 Boxheads, several escorting Agency Rage-Johnston F6 Comets obliterate the remaining pursuers.
Upon arriving at Agency 01 Camp base, the mission ends.
Little did Rico know that he had shook the morale of the San Esperito Military.
Chapter 2[]
Hours after arriving at Agency 01, Rico heads to the El Grande Fort and frees Jose Caramicas.
After helping him escape from the fort, Rico goes to a Guerrilla camp and helps him reunite with his sister.
Several police officers begin to question whether their loyalty to Salvador Mendoza is worth it or not.
Chapter 3[]
After freeing Jose Caramicas, Rico then turned his attention to the two villages in Provincia Aguilar.
Fortunately for him, as he walked in, the police officers simply put down their arms and declared their support for Jose Caramicas.
Thus, Provincia Aguilar was liberated by the ERL without a shot being fired.
Chapter 4[]
Rico is tasked with killing and impersonating an American after capturing the two villages.
After reaching the airfield, Rico discreetly killed Franco Alifano from a distance, then dispatched his guards.
After showing up at the hotel in a rather unique MV, Immaculada congratulates Rico on his... "big bills."
While seemingly little effect was done by this mission, many San Esperito Military soldiers reliant on Rioja Cartel drugs suffered a massive drop in morale as a result of a seemingly huge spike in prices.
Chapter 5[]
After meeting with Immaculada, her husband asks Rico to shut down a Montano drug plantation.
After hitching a ride there, Rico blows up the silos with a Mako Ocra, then stole a Montano Battaille GPT-6 loaded with crates.
After fending off the Montano Cartel on the way to a Rioja safehouse, Rico safely delivers the cargo.
Among the top right provinces of San Esperito, police officers revolted as a result of their drug addiction overtaking them, though the revolt was swiftly put down.
The signs of growing discontent had become very prevalent, however.
Chapter 6[]
Though the revolt was put down, the effects were immediate.
The La Honradez luxury yacht in Paradiso Bay was attacked mere days after the revolt. Velasco, the San Esperito Police Department's chief, was assassinated during this attack.
Reports of an unusually armed speedboat attacking police helicopters and boats that were pursuing the armed speedboat quickly made the news. As the news reached President Salvador Mendoza's desk, every province within the top right region of San Esperito had come under ERL control, either through revolting or capture.
Chapter 7[]
Days later, Rico would be tasked by Sheldon to eliminate General Jose Durango, Mendoza's fixer.
After driving up a path along a volcano, Rico killed all of Durango's guards, then machine gunned the interior of his limousine. Upon looking inside however, Durango was not present. Sheldon then comes in over the PDA and says he discovered Durango is actually at the El Volcan whorehouse.
After delivering the uniquely designed limousine to a nearby Rioja safehouse, Rico then made his way up the mountain. Along the way, a military Jackson JC - 2 Alamo arrived to kill him, but instead acted as a faster way for Rico to reach the El Volcan whorehouse.
Upon arriving at the location, Durango looked back, wondering why military reinforcements had arrived. Little did he know his life was in danger as a storm of hot lead emptied into him, killing him instantly by Rico.
Days later, one of the provinces in northern San Esperito defected to the ERL, citing cruel and unusual punishment by Durango for no apparent reason.
Chapter 8[]
After the province's defection, Rico was tasked by Sheldon to oversee a local Montano deal with the Guerrillas.
While things went smoothly at first, the Montanos betrayed the Guerrillas by destroying the Sam 3 weapon shipments. As a result, Rico and Esperanza chased down the Montano boss known as Sanchez, and brutally killed him.
While no obvious defections were reported, this now gave the ERL justification to assist the Riojas in taking over cartel villas, which made capturing them much faster.
Chapter 9[]
Some time later, Rico met Sheldon and Kane at a beach. Sheldon tells Rico there's a mysterious shipment arriving to the Montanos soon, and wants Rico to investigate.
After speeding to the site with a Bald Eagle Persuader, Rico, Sheldon, and Kane are surprised to see Black Hand operatives protecting the shipment consisting of three tanks of rocket fuel. Undeterred, Rico blows up the rocket fuel and speeds off to a safe house.
Several Black Hand operatives question whether it's worth it to work for Salvador Mendoza after one of their most elite units was made a fool of while trying to protect high level cargo.
Chapter 10[]
After the train fiasco, Rico meets up with Immaculada. She asks Rico if he is ready to make yet another setback to the Montanos. She asks him to destroy the Montano Cartel's biggest coca field.
After arriving to the site in a stolen government Walker AH-16 Hammerbolt, Rico lay waste to the fields, then flew away.
The Montano Cartel openly revolted against the San Esperito government in the wake of this disaster, creating a three way conflict between the ERL, government, and military. Soldiers from the San Esperito Military reliant on Montano drugs also revolted, creating a mini-civil war within military forces.
Salvador Mendoza sat in his presidential palace, watching the chaos unfold. He decided it was time to have the Black Hand take over everything.
Chapter 11[]
A week later, the Montano Cartel was suppressed, but at heavy cost to the San Esperito Military, suffering significant numbers of soldiers dead.
In the wake of the Montanos getting put down, Jose Caramicas decided to hold a rally at the broadcast center of Nuevo Estocolmo, planning on dealing yet another heavy blow to government forces.
As the speech went on, Rico held his ground against numerous Black Hand operatives who swooped in on Delta 5H4 Boxheads. Their Haswell Gen2 Vindicator assault rifles caught Rico by surprise, but he quickly managed to hold his own by commandeering one of them, then using it to great effect against its former owners.
As Jose wrapped up his speech, Rico gunned down many Black Hand mercenaries heading for the broadcast center. Then, he told Rico to blow up the broadcast tower so that Salvador Mendoza could not calm his people.
As more Black Hand mercenaries poured in, Rico provided covering fire for Jose Caramicas, tossing him another Haswell Gen2 Vindicator. As the two of them fended off the Black Hand, Rico tossed a triggered explosive onto the base of the TV tower, then told Jose to hold on to him.
"You crazy, amigo?" Jose asked.
"Nah. Just enjoying the view." Rico responded.
As the two jumped from the base of the tower, a Delta 5H4 Boxhead owned by The Agency flew up, catching both Rico and Jose.
The Black Hand mercenaries could do nothing but watch as The Agency Delta 5H4 Boxhead flew away. They didn't have to wait long to explain their failure however, as the broadcast tower blew up, sending them either flying away and falling to their death, or getting incinerated instantly, or getting crushed by what was once a giant broadcast tower.
All over San Esperito, whatever remained of the San Esperito Military revolted against Salvador Mendoza. However, they were swiftly put down by Mendoza's Black Hand mercenaries.
Chapter 12[]
After the broadcast tower was destroyed, Sheldon sent Rico to investigate a supposed medical facility in the mountains.
Once he arrived, Rico eliminated several more Black Hand mercenaries before Sheldon reported to Rico that a nuclear missile launch was imminent.
"No problem." Rico nonchalantly said, as he headed toward the missile control room.
As the three nuclear missiles took off, they suddenly changed course, with two heading toward sea, while the farthest one made a U turn and headed straight back for the facility.
Rico managed to parachute far away from the blast zone as the mountain began to crumble as an effect of the nuclear missile returning to sender.
Over in Isla Dominio's Presidential Palace, Salvador Mendoza was fuming.
"You are supposed to be the world's most elite private military. How are you unable to stop one man?!" Mendoza yelled.
"He is too strong." The Black Hand commander reported, which resulted in him getting a fist thrown into his shoulder as Mendoza's form of rage venting.
"Tell you what. Summon every last one of your men who are not already deployed and bring them to San Esperito. Bring EVERYTHING. I will offer everything that is left in the San Esperitian economy if you manage to kill Rico Rodriguez." Mendoza calmly said.
"Understood, sir." the Black Hand commander said.
Chapter 13[]
The following week, outside of Mendoza International Airport, Rico picked up a smoke signal. Moments later, an HH-22 Savior in the markings of The Agency showed up.
"Rico. Mendoza is getting desperate. We've picked up reports of a train carrying the last shipments of rocket fuel to a ship, escorted by an Otto Kleiner. Prodigy of the Third Reich. Once even mentored under Werner von Braun. What say we send the train along on their final voyage?" Sheldon said, in an almost joking voice.
"Sometimes I worry about your sense of humor." Rico remarked.
As Rico approached the train, the train car rooves opened up to reveal a column of SAMs.
"Take evasive action!" Sheldon yelled, extremely panicked.
"You couldn't have told me this train was protected by an AA monster?" Rico replied.
"How was I supposed to know there was a ****-ton of SAM sites on the train? I only knew the train cargo: the rocket fuel." Sheldon replied.
"Come on, Sheldon!" Rico replied in a joking tone.
As Rico dodged multiple SAM missiles, some of the missiles slammed into each other, blowing up. Rico managed to take out many, but soon blips began appearing on the radar.
"Sheldon. Seems we got aerial company. Black Hand Walker AH-16 Hammerbolts inbound." Rico said.
"The Black Hand?! Mendoza must truly be desperate!" Sheldon laughed.
"Boys! I'm trying to sleep!" Kane yelled.
"Couldn't pick another time to nap?" Rico asked, in a joking tone.
As the Black Hand choppers got closer, Rico could make out the Black Hand logos on the Walker AH-16 Hammerbolts.
"You two might want to strap yourselves in. I'm about to perform some extreme maneuvering." Rico said calmly.
As a wave of rockets surged toward The Agency HH-22 Savior, Rico dodged every single one in slow motion, then fired a single rocket into their cockpits, sending the helicopters crashing into the ground.
More SAM sites fired onto Rico, but he was still able to destroy all of them.
This time, 16 Walker AH-16 Hammerbolts surged toward Rico.
However, as they got close, they were blown out of the sky by a... San Esperito Military Delta MAH-15 Chimaera?
"Rico Rodriguez! We have lost everything! We, the remnants of the San Esperito Air Force, pledge our loyalty to you and the ERL!"
"On behalf of José Caramicas, we thank you! Keep the Black Hand off our backs!"
Several San Esperito Military Jackson Z-19 Skreemers zoomed by, along with a few HH-22 Saviors and Delta 5H4 Boxheads.
As Rico blew up the last tank of rocket fuel, the train stopped. Then, the locomotive at the front began to take off.
"You'll never catch me, you ugly troll!" yelled the train conductor.
"Otto Kleiner. Your time is up." Rico said bluntly.
As Rico got close to the locomotive, the lid slid off to reveal Otto Kleiner with a RPG M-112.
"Missile lock?" Rico wondered.
As a missile came out of the rocket launcher, Rico fired his own missile at Otto, completely blowing up the train car and killing him instantly.
However, the missile slammed into The Agency HH-22 Savior, sending it spinning out of control.
"Sheldon! Kane! Hold on to something! We are going down!" Rico barked, before the chopper slammed onto the highway of San Esperito.
Chapter 14[]
"Urrggghhhh..." said Rico as he stumbled out of the HH-22 Savior wreck.
"Huh. The chopper surprisingly didn't take too much damage." Sheldon remarked.
"Boys! We got company!" Kane yelled.
Multiple Black Hand vehicles surged toward Rico and his company. Rico pulled out his Holdt R4 Pitbulls and killed several Black Hand operatives.
"Sheldon! Maria! Catch!" yelled Rico as he tossed two Haswell Gen2 Vindicators at them.
As waves of Black Hand descended on them, the former San Esperito Military helicopters provided covering fire against any armored vehicles.
"We can't hold out like this forever! We need reinforcements!" Sheldon barked.
"Don't worry! I got you covered!" Rico responded. "José Caramicas! We could use your help! We're outside Cordoba military base! Come help us!" Rico yelled into his PDA in a very frantic voice.
"Don't worry Rico! Help is on the way! I'd estimate... 15 minutes!" José responded.
"One more thing! Bring at least 3 Scando Truck Loader Extremes!" Rico said.
"Why?" José asked.
"Don't worry about why. Just bring them!" Rico yelled.
"On our way!" José replied.
Rico, Sheldon, and Maria attacked waves of Black Hand land vehicles. Their numbers may have been numerous, but Rico used the Mounted Guns on MVs and Stinger GPs to great effect. However, after 5 minutes, a huge number of Black Hand vehicles piled in. This time, a few Delta 5H4 Boxheads accompanied them.
"Rico! What say you hijack one of the choppers?" Sheldon remarked.
Rico pulled out his grappling gun, grappled to one of them, and pulled out the pilot. As the other Black Hand pilots responded, Sheldon and Maria took them out with precise shots from their Haswell Gen2 Vindicators.
"José! Where you at?" Rico yelled.
"Almost there!" José replied.
After another 5 minutes, more Black Hand vehicles pulled up, this time with multiple Jackson Z-19 Skreemers among them, and even a few Walker AH-16 Hammerbolts and Delta MAH-15 Chimaeras.
"Rico! Seems we poked the hornet's nest! Ha ha!" Sheldon remarked.
"Not now, Sheldon!" Rico retorted.
However, the former San Esperito Air Force pilots swooped in, dueling the Black Hand helicopters. That took care of the helicopters, but Harland and Ballard series armored vehicles were on the scene now.
"Rico! They got anti-aircraft gun and missile vehicles! Be careful!" Sheldon remarked.
As Rico continued to provide covering fire, he had to occasionally swerve his captured Black Hand Delta 5H4 Boxhead to avoid anti-aircraft missiles from Ballard Sentry STRL - 14s and Harland DTWV-2 Rocket batteries. However, one missile found its mark, and Rico began to lose control of the Boxhead. Rico barely dove out as the chopper crashed into a Harland, disabling it.
As the odds seemed overwhelming, the trio were beginning to lose hope.
However, over the PDA, José remarked "The cavalry has arrived!"
As Guerrilla Jackson Z-19 Skreemers and Delta MAH-15 Chimaeras zoomed overhead, the three cheered as the Black Hand vehicles were bombarded into oblivion. Even some Guerrilla Ballards showed up.
"You sure know how to make an entrance José! Now, put the three Scando Truck Loader Extremes against the chopper, and push it to a nearby safehouse!" Rico replied.
"All that... just to protect a unique chopper? Interesting reasoning, comrade!" José replied.
As the trio mounted onto the bulldozers, the last of the Black Hand were routed as the Guerrillas pulled away from a highway of destruction.
Chapter 15[]
At Guerrilla 27 Campo Halcon, Rico, Tom, Maria, and José gathered around a table. On the table was a map, detailing San Esperito's current map. All of San Esperito's northeastern and western provinces had either joined or been captured by the Guerrillas.
"After the Black Hand sent that many vehicles to stop us, they must be short on vehicles right now. This is our chance to strike!" José said.
"I agree. With such a shortage of manpower and vehicles, Mendoza's forces will have taken a severe hit. We should hit the capital in no time." Rico affirmed.
"Not so fast." Sheldon said. " You see that island to the north of us? I've heard rumors there is a nuclear reactor there that's close to finishing another nuclear weapon." Sheldon said in an urgent voice.
"I've heard the same rumors." José said. "But we've never been able to get close, as the only way in or out is a very narrow bridge from the mainland, and it... was heavily guarded by the San Esperito Military, which by this point, has been replaced by the Black Hand. Naval and aerial assault is impossible, as the seas and air are filled with ships and helicopters."
"Well... now we have the remains of the San Esperito Air Force. And we have some Delta MAH-15 Chimaeras of our own. I'd say that should even the odds a bit." Rico said.
One hour later, the Isla San Cristobal fortress alarm bells began ringing as a huge wave of Guerrilla vehicles appeared on the horizon.
"Attack!" José ordered as ERL Delta MAH-15 Chimaeras and Ballard M5B1 Scouts charged toward the island. The three SAMs on the fortress were quickly destroyed as the overwhelming number of helicopters caught the Black Hand off guard. Within minutes, the initial guards of the island were dead.
Rico, mounted on a Guerrilla Ballard M5B1 Scout, told the Guerrillas to fan out and kill every Black Hand presence on this island.
Within minutes, Rico found the nuclear reactor. It was indeed close to a new nuclear missile.
As the Black Hand desperately tried to stop the onslaught of Guerrillas, Rico snuck into the facility, set triggered explosives throughout the facility, then exited as the facility exploded and went up in flames. Before he left the island though, he headed north, having noticed schematics for a backup nuclear reactor.
After Rico blew up the second reactor, an alarm began to sound.
"All personnel, evacuate the island. Self-destruct sequence initialized. Nuclear explosion imminent in 3 minutes."
"Nuclear explosion? José, get the Guerrillas out of here! This place is going to blow!" Rico yelled.
As Rico spotted a lone Black Hand Walker AH-16 Hammerbolt flying away, Rico used his grapple gun to grapple onto the chopper, pull out the pilot, then fled, as the island exploded in a blinding light.
Over on a beach, Sheldon was sipping a margarita when the island went boom, knocking over a couple glasses.
"You sure know how to make a scene, Rico." Sheldon smirked.
Chapter 16[]
After Isla San Cristobal was secured, the Guerrillas and Riojas prepared to siege the capital city, Esperito City.
One day later, Mendoza was informed by the Black Hand commander that what appeared to be the main army of the Ejértico Revolucionario de Liberación and Rioja Cartel had gathered outside Esperito City. The commander was unsure what they were waiting for, but by this point, Mendoza had all but lost his mind. He ordered every remaining Black Hand soldier on the mainland to Esperito City, while also ordering every Black Hand naval and air force unit to return to Isla Dominio, knowing the end was in sight.
The next day, as a horde of ERL Ballards, Harlands, helicopters, and more surged into Esperito City, the bloodiest battle of the entire civil war erupted.
As Rico prepared to assist the Guerrillas and Riojas, Sheldon instead tasked him with investigating a secret facility within the southern half of the city.
As the Black Hand, Guerrilla, former San Esperito Military, and Rioja forces fought, Rico headed to Sheldon's coordinates. Overhead, a Black Hand Delta MAH-15 Chimaera opened fire with the minigun onto Rico, but Rico's superior sharpshooting skills killed the pilot inside the cockpit.
As the chopper crashed, it destroyed a Black Hand Ballard Centronel AAWV - 21.
"Ironic." Rico said.
About 5 minutes later, Rico reached a huge building.
"Secret facility. Looks about right." Rico remarked.
As Rico violently knocked on the front door with a captured Black Hand Ballard M5B1 Scout, it interrupted an execution of... Carmona?
As Rico used the machine gun on the Scout, multiple Black Hand soldiers were killed. Carmona quickly dove out of the way and grabbed a Haswell Gen2 Vindicator off a dead Black Hand operative.
As Rico used the machine gun to finish off the last of the Black Hand, he emerged from the Ballard.
"Carmona? What are you doing here? And why were you being executed?" Rico asked.
"Guess they discovered I was an informant." Carmona replied.
"Well let's go! Victory is at hand!" Rico jubilantly yelled.
Another hour went by, and the last of the Black Hand forces on the mainland were eradicated.
Chapter 17[]
The following day after the Black Hand forces were eradicated, Rico and Sheldon now set their sights on Isla Dominio.
"That island is going to be the last stand of Salvador Mendoza and his Black Hand mercenaries. It is going to be one tough fight." Sheldon remarked.
"Nothing I cannot handle." Rico laughed.
"Speaking of which... how are we going to get there?" Rico wondered.
"Well, we do have a various assortment of Guerrilla Pequod - Harpoon PC 350s, Triton - patrollers, and Triton Broadsides, but not enough to double as troop carriers." Sheldon said.
"Which is why I got intel on the next best thing." José Caramicas chimed in. "I heard intel that there is an abandoned military port with many San Esperito Navy ships."
About an hour later, Rico, Sheldon, and co. arrived at the abandoned port. Sure enough, it contained a fleet of untouched San Esperito Military ships. There was even a destroyer that looked very modern, out of place among the relatively antiquated ships. There was just one problem: there was a massive naval minefield at the entrance to the port.
"No problem. Good thing I took up a class on welding some years ago." Rico said.
A couple hours later, all the mines had been floated up to the surface. Rico then yelled "STAND CLEAR!"
As Rico fired a rocket from a RPG M-112 into the minefield, there was a massive explosion, covering the surrounding area in water.
"Good thing I pushed the mines out to sea before I blew them up. I don't think any of the ships could have survived an explosion of that magnitude." Rico remarked.
"José, you ready to defeat Salvador Mendoza?" Rico asked.
"Always, comrade. Let's finish this." José remarked.
Chapter 18[]
Daybreak, August 30th, 2005.
As the Black Hand woke up, they witnessed the largest fleet they had ever seen to date, with hundreds of ships and helicopters storming towards Isla Dominio.
"Commander! They are here! Their forces are numerous!" a Black Hand operative yelled, panic evident in his voice.
"Hold your position. Defend the island at all costs!" the commander replied.
As Guerrilla, Rioja, and former San Esperito Air Force forces stormed forward, a massive battle ensued.
Many rare vehicles were among this massive battle, including:
- Huerta PA51 Aztek in Guerrilla, Rioja, and San Esperito Air Force decals
- HH-22 Savior in Guerrilla, Rioja, and Black Hand decals
- Jackson JC - 2 Alamo in Guerrilla, Rioja, and Black Hand decals
- Delta 5H4 Boxhead in Rioja and Black Hand decals
- Walker AH-16 Hammerbolt in Guerrilla and Rioja decals
- Pequod - Harpoon PC 350 in Guerrilla and Rioja decals
- Triton - patroller in Guerrilla, Rioja, and Black Hand decals
- Triton Broadsider in Guerrilla, Rioja, and Black Hand decals
- Jaegar 5FJ 7 in Guerrilla and Rioja decals
- There was even a San Esperito Police Department Jackson Z-19 Skreemer among the fleet. Apparently Carmona wanted in on the action as well.
As an opening volley of rockets and missiles slammed into Black Hand ships, the Black Hand scrambled to resist the onslaught. The destroyer also laid waste to Black Hand lines.
As Black Hand Ulysses-McCoy Redclouds dove from the skies, repainted ex-San Esperito Air Force Ulysses-McCoy Redclouds turned Guerrilla destroyed them as well, piloted by ace Guerilla pilots. A few Rage-Johnston F6 Comets and McKenzie-Fergusson F2 Victors in Guerilla livery also attacked Black Hand planes in the sky.
Amid the chaos, Rico headed toward the island in The Agency HH-22 Savior.
Overhead, Guerrilla, Rioja, and Black Hand choppers dueled in the skies. As yet another wave of Black Hand Ulysses-McCoy Redclouds surged toward the rebel forces however, a massive explosion sent them careening into the water.
"Rico! This plane is fun!" exclaimed José Caramicas, as a Guerrilla Rage-Johnston F10 Wraith emerged from the clouds.
Within an hour, the Black Hand were almost eradicated, with all SAM sites on the island blown up by Rico in the HH-22 Savior.
As Rico approached the presidential palace, he noticed a Huerta PA51 Aztek in military markings take off. Before Rico could give chase, however, a missile almost slammed into the HH-22 Savior.
"Rico Rodriguez! If you want to kill Salvador Mendoza, you'll have to go through me!" a voice through his PDA shouted.
The Black Hand commander on the ground in a Black Hand Ballard Sentry STRL - 14 opened fire with a volley of 4 missiles. Rico barely dodged out of the way as the missiles scratched the Savior's body. As a duel between the Black Hand tank commander and Rico began, Rico had barely five seconds to fire his own missiles from the HH-22 Savior before another volley came. Eventually, the Black Hand tank commander died with his Black Hand Ballard Sentry STRL - 14.
As Rico took a breather, he noticed 3 missile silos open nearby. To Rico's horror, 3 more nuclear missiles streaked towards the sky.
"Rico! I saw that happen! There's a nearby airfield! Land there!" José said in a voice of urgency.
Chapter 19[]
At the nearby airfield, José Caramicas landed his Guerrilla Rage-Johnston F10 Wraith.
"Go! Destroy them!" José shouted to Rico. "I'll be fine here!"
As Rico boarded the plane, he took off at a very high speed.
As he approached one nuclear missile, the missile suddenly veered to the side, making erratic movements.
"Evasive, huh? Well I'm not so easily shaken!" Rico laughed.
As Rico locked onto the missile, he fired a volley of missiles into it, disabling one of the three threats.
The other two missiles sped up, as if they were sentient. However, Rico caught up to one of them, and fired another volley of missiles into it, destroying it.
The final one suddenly went SCRAM, speeding across San Esperito as though the missile speed had suddenly become the speed of light.
"Oh. How convenient. This plane also has an extreme speed feature!" Rico remarked.
As he pulled back the throttle, the plane suddenly sped forward as if it were an RPG attached to a sniper bullet.
"Proximity warning. 10 seconds to impact." an automated voice said.
"Of course. I'm out of missiles." Rico remarked.
"Proximity warning. 5 seconds to impact." the automated voice said.
"Time to get out of here." Rico said.
As he dove out of the cockpit and opened his parachute, Rico watched the Rage-Johnston F10 Wraith collide with the last nuclear missile, causing it to explode in a massive fireball.
"What fireworks." Rico remarked.
As Rico looked around, he noticed he was near Mendoza International Airport, and the Presidential Plane was about to take off.
"Salvador Mendoza! Your time is up!" Rico yelled as he dove toward the ground.
Chapter 20[]
As Salvador Mendoza and his two sons boarded the plane, Rico was in hot pursuit after him.
As Rico boarded the plane, he came under fire from an entourage of Mendoza's Black Hand bodyguards. Unfortunately for the Black Hand, Rico dispatched them as if they were cheese to a hot knife.
"He is just one man! How are you unable to kill him?!" Salvador Mendoza yelled into the intercom.
In the midst of the fight, several stray bullets penetrated through the plane, causing one of the engines to catch fire. Rico and the Black Hand members immediately took notice, as the plane began to tip to one side.
"Stop firing! You're going to bring down this expensive plane!" Mendoza barked.
As the Black Hand bodyguards put away their Haswell Gen2 Vindicators and switched to knives, Rico put away his own Haswell Gen2 Vindicator.
As they fought, the plane shook violently.
"We are unable to maintain current heading to Juantana. We are projected to crash into the water soon. You should get ready to land." the Black Hand pilots said.
As the plane began to enter a steep dive, Rico managed to finish off the last of the Black Hand bodyguards.
As he looked out a window, the water level was getting dangerously close.
"Prepare for landing." the Black Hand pilots said, the last words they would ever say.
Rico ran to the back of the plane, opened the cargo door, and jumped out, just as the plane crashed.
Chapter 21[]
As Rico surfaced on a piece of debris, he saw the smoldering wreck of the Presidential Plane... on a nuclear submarine?
As Rico swam over, he could see critical damage to the submarine. Then again, a big plane crashing into a vehicle would cause significant damage.
As the plane exploded, the bodies of Salvador Mendoza and his two sons were flung out, very clearly dead.
"Rico Rodriguez. Bringer of chaos." an unknown voice spoke from behind Rico.
"And you must be the Black Hand commander, judging by your clothing." Rico replied. "A female. How rare." Rico added.
"Indeed I am. I must admit, you truly are worth what I've heard about you." the commander spoke. "I must thank you actually. Salvador Mendoza was... a fool. He was not the best strategic mind. If he had let me be in control, I would have long eliminated you as a threat." the commander continued.
"Enough talk. Time to settle this." Rico spoke.
"Not so fast. This nuclear submarine took critical damage from El Presidente's plane crash. We have only 4 minutes to fight before the submarine sinks into the water. Good luck defeating me in that amount of time."
As the two got into a fist fight, the Black Hand commander taunted Rico.
"What's the matter? Can't hit a lady?" the commander scoffed.
"For you, I'll make an exception." Rico replied.
Some more fists and blows were landed.
"Impressive. A boxing style." the commander replied. "But I..." the commander said as she delivered a roundhouse kick to Rico's abdomen. "...was trained at Cambridge!"
"Interesting. Very interesting." Rico said.
Eventually, Rico defeated her.
"Good luck swimming." Rico replied, as an Agency Jaeger 5FJ pulled up and left.
As Rico and Sheldon pulled away from the nuclear submarine, the smoldering wreck of the Presidential Plane and Mendoza's nuclear submarine sink beneath the waters.
Days later.
"Well, we won. And many thanks to you, Rico Rodriguez." José said.
"What will you do now?" Rico asked.
"Rule, I guess. Know that you, Sheldon, and Maria will always be welcome in San Esperito." José said.
The next day, Rico, Tom, and Maria flew home in an Agency cargo plane.
Fan fiction project complete.
