This is the home page to Just Cause: Panauan Hope, Just Cause: Panauan Contingency. Just Cause: Panauan Horizon isn't a story, as it is a dedicated project containing the two aforementioned stories, and others that may be made in the future.
Just Cause: Panauan Hope is a (presently unwritten) story that presents the history of the Republic of Panau, starting in 2015 after President Baswedan was elected for his second term in office. Panauan Hope dives into a story about overtly young and ambitious president that was re-elected and radically changes his administration's stances in regards to foreign and military policy, domestic affairs such as the military and the economy, and adopts radical changes that affect Panauan culture and lifestyle. However, these changes proved to upset numerous Panauan citizens and military officials alike - mostly in Panau's south east region. President Baswedan's new radicalized stances shook up and upset Panauan society which created division and polarization. Over time, military officials went from starting philosophies, to movements, to alliances, which all ended up dissolving and absorbing into a new breakaway country known as the "Senja Selatan." The Senja Selatan was intended to be a "new and clean slate" for Panau, but as leadership evolved and changed, the Senja Selatan became a country that it was never intended to be...
Just Cause: Panauan Contingency picks up right where Just Cause: Panauan Hope left off at. Panauan Contingency tells a story about a struggling Panauan nation whose leader is completely stubborn and difficult to work with, and refuses to accept any external help to pacify and resolve Panau's internal disputes. The Agency, however, realized that they dropped the ball on Panau entirely and inadvertantly allowed it to slip into a domestic war. During their realization, Agency officials in Washington D.C. collect and gather seven trusted and competent agents and Agency affiliates to go on an assignment to Panau and assist with their domestic disputes. However, with President Baswedan refusing help from any nation, Agency officials and field agents come up with a plan to discreetly bring in new agents and embed them with corrupt units within the Armed Forces of the Republic of Panau who are keen on turning a blind eye to President Baswedan's exclusionary foreign policy laws. With the seven new agents being placed into the Republic of Panau and working with "unofficial" Panauan allies, the agents can assist the Panauan Military with combating and eliminating the Senja Selatanian breakaway threat.
