Background[]
Just Cause: Panauan Hope intends to serve as a prologue to the events of Just Cause: Panauan Contingency. SpartanEditor777, or Sonoda - the writer, never had a proper background to the events leading up to Panauan Contingency, nor did any of the characters or factions have any form of story. Therefore, SpartanEditor777 decided that Panauan Hope would aim to describe how the the Republic of Panau "fell from grace" and went into civil unrest. When reading Panauan Contengency, there will be individuals, factions, organizations, operations, and other events that will be mentioned that may have started during the Panauan Hope timeline. When reading Panauan Contingency, the time frame takes place at the tail-end of of President Baswedan's second presidential term, whereas Panauan Hope take place near the end of his first presidential term and the beginning of his second presidential term.
Synopsis[]
Setting[]
Just Cause: Panauan Hope follows the events of President Baswedan's presidential administration after President Pandak Panay was ousted. President Baswedan was "elected" to be the next president of the Republic of Panau, He ran on promises of economic prosperity, better qualities of life, and bringing hope to the Republic of Panau and its people. While the first administration was a success after he spent his first term building solid foundations, refreshing the government structure, updating and creating various laws and renewing the Panuan constitution, and giving Paanu a trusted and reliable reputation to the global community and economy, President Baswedan gained immense trust and loyalty with the Pauanauan people. However, troubles would begin to arise when he was re-elected for a second term in 2015. President Baswedan would become too complacent with habits, comfortable with his power, and a considerable portion of the Panauan people would begin to question his loyalty, integrity, and trustworthiness. This would lead new domestic issues involving the support of criminal factions, the creation of a breakaway state, a civil war, domestic terrorism, and other forms of unprofessional government abuses.
Plot / Timeline[]
Prologue[]
2009-2015[]
While President Baswedan's first term in office was a tremendous success, he won the re-election in 2015. However, President Baswedan's second term in office is where the tone in Panau would begin to change. As the Republic of Panau became economically stable and was proven to be a friendly neighbor to nearby countries and a viable trading partner to the international community, President Baswedan's liberal stances would shift more to the realm of allowing foreign businesses and companies to utilize Panau for its land, labor, and economy.
Late 2015-Middle 2016[]
In late 2015, President Baswedan would announce new de-militarization acts dubed the "PEACE Act" - or the "Panauan Entente and Coexistence Enterprise" Act, which would decrease the amount of military bases there are in Panau, raise the bar for military recruiters, higher the requirements for military enlistment or commission, lower promotion rates, and enforce early separation or retirement options for military members currently serving in the Panauan Armed Forces. These new acts would rattle members of the Panauan Armed Forces, even though the Republic of Panau was in a state of peacetime.
August 2016[]
Beginning of the Pemulihan Terang[]
Through most of 2016, President Baswedan would pass various acts for demilitarization and foreign employment and utilization. In August of 2016, Kolonel Long would become the founder of the "Pemulihan Terang" philosophy, with Kolonel Shen being a secondary founder. (lit. "Bright Recovery" > Indonesian/Malayasian.) Forming in the Kem Jalan Padan Luas military base and the Hutan Nenas military base, the Pemulian Terang philosophy would slowly and secretly spread via word of mouth between disgruntled and like-minded military members. In early October of 2016, the Pemulihan Terang philosophy transcended from being just a philosophy, and became a full-fledged movement. While it was still an "idea" that was kept locally, many base commanders throughout the Selatan Archipelago would "join" the movement to resist the demilitarization acts from President Baswedan. Throughout the rest of 2016, a growing resentment for the Panauan Government and President Bawedan would become more and more apparent. President Baswedan would proceed to send various investigators to bases and have them recommended to be shut down for "safety reasons" and "misuse of Panauan Tax Dollars."
January 2017[]
Creation of the PLEAD Act and the FEAR Act[]
In January of 2017, President Baswedan signed the PLEAD Act, or the "Panauan Leaders Economic Action Deal" Act, which allowered the Minister of State of every territory to divert or destract funs from varying institutions that were "not essential to Panauan economic growth." This was intended for every Minister of State - or at least those loyal to President Baswedan, to divert funding from the military. While the Pemulihan Terang was not a fighting force and did not believe in violence, the founders of the philosophy and the movement tried to diplomatically work with the Minister of State of the Selatan Archipelago. However, Yatim Arifin was loyal to President Baswedan and was on the side of the PLEAD bill becoming an act. With this defeat in diplomacy, things would get worse for the Pemulihan Terang because as of January 18th, 2017, President Baswedan would use executive orders to pass a new law dubbed the "FEAR Act" stating that "the use, employment, or creation, of foreign or domestic individuals, mercenaries, factions, clans, tribes, or groups, used for combat control, government overturn and manipulation, population control, control of commerce or economic assets, is absolutely prohibited within the Armed Forces of the Republic of Panau." This would mean that the Pemulihan Terang would be an illegal movement and brought great alarm to various base commanders within the region. As time went on, President Baswedan would focus on "removing any remains of Pandak Panay," which extended to anyone that may have supported him, or agreed with even certain policies of his. With this, President Baswedan would repurpose the Wajah Ramah Fortress and turn it into a jailing station and re-education center. At this time, Kolonel Sinaga - one of the senior officers of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Panau, informed Kolonel Shen - one of the founders of the Pemulihan Terang, that the movement must "evolve to survive," meaning that it should become a fighting force to ensure it sees the future.
February 2017[]
Disbandment of the Pemulihan Terang, creation of the Selatan Sector[]
Later in early February of 2017, President Baswedan would proceed to label the Pemulihan Terang as a terrorist organization and ordered the arrest and imprisonment of Kolonel Sinaga, and his followers and aspiring members to be executed. At the same time, President Baswedan ordered the Ministry of Justice to remove anyone sympathetic to Kolonel Sinaga and the Pemulihan Terang movement. The Panauan Armed Forces were ordered to move into the Selatan Archipelago and activated the Panauan National Guard to move into the territory. This had wrried numerous base commanders within the Selatan Archipelago and the Senjakal Islands that were in Pemulihan Terang movement at that point in time. A day after the Presidentially-Director Orders and the activation of the Panauan National Guard, Kolonel Shen announced to the public via PanNow! - a Panauan social media platform. that he was disbanding the Pemulihan Terang due to it "not being a fighting force." This was done shortly after Kolonel Sinaga militarized the faction. While Kolonel Shen's post made him a target to President Baswedan due to him admitting that he was affiliated with a domestic terrorist organization, Kolonel Shen's punishment became lesser and lighter due to him disbanding the terrorist organization. While Mr. Lee Shen was officially retired from the Panauan Army, he was also brought in before the High Court of the Armed Forces in Panau City, where he was given an Official Presidential Pardon by President Baswedan for disbanding the Pemulihan Terang, alongside having his label of being a domestic terrorist removed from the official roster, and he was taken off all watch lists. While this was happening, Kolonel Sinaga created a new militarized faction known as the "Selatan Sector." The Selatan Sector gained mass support over the Selatan Archipelago and the Senjakala Islands, and many base commanders and military officials opted to join the group. However, not all wanted to join.
With Guided Orders (Panauan equivalent to martial law) in effect in the Senjakala Islands and the Selatan Archipelago, the Minister of State of all affected territories were evacuated to Panau City. Brigadir Jenderal Bakti, the base commander of the Kem Hutan Supply Depot, requested that he and his men were to be evacuated from their military base in exchange for the base and all of its assets. Kolonel Sinaga accepted the request on the condition that he was promoted to Brigadir Jenderal in the Panauan Army. The arrangements were made and the men were evacuated from the Kem Hutan Supply Dept - except for Brigadir Jenderal Bakti - who was secretly flown to the Wajah Ramah Fortress and was sentenced to an undisclosed prison sentence and interrogation.
Disbandment of the Selatan Sector, creation of the Senja Selatan Breakaway State[]
As of the 13th of February of 2017, Brigadir Jenderal Sinaga made a public speech to the residents and military personnel of the Seltan Archipelago and the Senjakala Islands that a new breakaway country was formed. The Senja Selatan, or "Southern Twilight" (a play-on words combining "Senjakala Islands" and "Selatan Archipelago" together,) was formed. The purpose of the Senja Selatan was to prioritize "residential priority," which heavily regulated exportation of products, goods, and services from foreign entities and corporations, placed higher regulations on foreign individuals doing business in the Senja Selatan, creating higher limitations on tourists and foreign nationals visiting the Senja Selatan, and other prospects that were hyper-focused on bettering the new proto-state. The creation of the Permerintahan Rakyat Selatan (Southern People's Government,) the Kongres Nasional (National Congress,) the Dewan Selatan (Southern Council,) the Pasukan Keamanan Rakyat (People's Security Forces - which replaced the Panau Police Deaprtment,) the Milisi Kepulauan Selatan (Southern Islands Militia,) and an entirely new military structure would be created. With the creation of the Milisi Kepulauan Selatan, this allowed incarcerated individuals within the Republic of Panau to join the state-sponsored paramilitary faction in the Senja Selatan if they escape. Foreigners are also allowed to join the militia as well. This created numerous problems for the Federal Government of the Republic of Panau and for the Ministry of Justice, resulting in President Baswedan taking to PanNow! and stating "prison escapees are going to "play army" will see how life is under a terrorist watch list and with that designation."
Later on that month, The Kongres Nasional (National Congress) announced they will be establishing "armed security checkpoints around the Senja Selatan," and would be deploying the Pasukan Keamanan Rakyat, alongside the Senja Selatanian Navy (to include the Senja Selatanian Naval Air Force) to guard any all bridges, roadways, swamps. and beaches. This resulted in the Senja Selatanian locals feeling better protected and have higher praise and support for the local government.
April 2017[]
In April, the Senja Selatan had nearly a fifth of the total Panauan country mass. This resulted in the National Panauan Intelligence Agency utilizing the Kem Jalan Merpati Air Base near the Desert Peak in order to identify any cyber weak points and physical land weak points. Fil Marsyal (Field Marshal, Commander in Chief) Sinaga - now formerly know as Brigadir Jenderal Sinaga, continued to preach for goodness and constantly pushed the new government to create movements for local employment, restructuring of buildings, preservation of Panauan historical sites, and humanitarian services. With this, the Dewan Selatan (Southern Council) created the Kementerian Pelayanan Sosial (Ministry of Social Services.) Four days fter the creation of the Kementerian Pelayanan Sosial, Bandar Labuk Paya experienced a deadly mass shooting with 13 individuals killed and 19 injured. The Panuan Armed Forces were unable to make a quick response time, despite the settlement being near a Panauan air base (Sungai Jernih) and on Panauan territory. As a result, the settlement governor requested that the Milisi Kepulauan Selatan (Southern Islands Militia) to assist with the recovery - which they promptly arrived on scene. When word made it to Panau City within the hour, President Baswedan quickly ordered the Panauan Armed Forces to a new "fire on sight" policy. Within that same hour, the Panauan Troops from Sungai Jernih investigated the scene, where they realized that Bandar Lubuk Paya was now in the Senja Selatanian country. While the Milisi Pelulauan Selatan was rendering aid to the wounded citizens, the Panauan Air Force ground troops began firing upon the Senja Selatanian militiamen. This caused outrage nation-wide, despite the Panauan government trying to cover it up. Fil Marsyal Sinaga personally announced the creation of the Pelayanan Darurat Kementerian dan Kebutuhan Mendesak (lit. Ministry of Emergency Services and Urgent Needs.) Furthermore, Fil Marsyal Sinaga personally ordered members of the Pasukan Keamanan Rakyat and the Senja Selatanian Armed Forces to Bandar Lubuk Paya in order to provide humanitarian needs, the creation of more medical facilities, and enhanced security in the local area. President Baswedan was furious that he could not sweep the shooting under the rug and spontaneously fired Kolonel Banyu Apul - the base commander of the Sungai Jernigh Air Force Base, for "unsatisfactory officer conduct," even though this was out of his base commander's control. From there, he fled into the Senja Selatan to request asylum.
May 2017[]
In May, the Ministry of Social Services spent months working on five new coastal settlements just south of Telok Berlian and north of the Kepulauan Selatan Beta Communication Station. 30 new buildings were made for residents and five new marketplaces were made to support the local economy. Fil Marsyal Sinaga credits the prisoners, civil engineers, and others within the Ministry of Social Services. President Baswedan was very worried for Brigadir Jenderal Bakti and requested a status update on him via PanNow! social media post. Fil Marsyal Sinaga informed President Baswedan that Brigadir Jedneral Bakti was charged with legitimate crimes, such as "negation to territorial security efforts, conspiracy to overthrow the territorial government, misuse of territorial government funding, and other related crimes." The letter was sent off via the Ministry of Postage and Parcel Networking. When the letter returned to President Baswedan, he went to social media and statedt hat "Brigadir Jenderal Bakti is in uncertain condition." This prompted the Permerintahan Rrakyat Selatan to fact check President Baswedan's maliciously-intended claim for making misleading statements.
August 2017[]
In August of 2017, the Senja Selatanian economy and quality of life has been making drastic jumps in an upward position. The formation of a proper military, successful military exercises, happy and patriotic civilians, and the Panauan Government is kept on their toes. The National Panauan Intelligency Agency believes that the Senja Selatanian Armed Forces are bound to strike, but they are ultimately unsure. Later that month, Fil Marsyal Sinaga announced that there will be a promotion ceremony at the Kem Port Pelangi Naval Harbor, and many enlisted troops and commissioned officers are going to be receiving awards, ribbons, and other decorations. During the event, Fil Marsyal Sinaga personally promoted numerous enlisted troops and commissioned officers. There was one Mejar (Major) that the Fil Marsyal had his eye on... Mejar Siregar Galang was promoted to Leftenan Kolonel, and was observed to be highly motivated and and ambitious. He was known well enough to be invited into the office of Fil Marsyal Sinaga at the Kem Lembah Hutan military base, where he was given the Outstanding Wargames Performance Ribbon and the Distinguished Commander Ribbon and Award - an extremely rare ribbon. At that point, Fil Marsyal Sinaga informed Leftenan Kolonel Galang that he was going to be his right hand man. At this point, Leftenan Marsyal Galang began shadowing Fil Marsyal Sinaga for the Senja Selatanian Armed Forces. When he asked Fil Marsya Sinaga for advices, he told Leftenan Kolonel Galang to "hit the books" in order to truly know how to run the Senja Selatan.
Later in August, Kampung Sawah Hutan would experience a devastation in the community via saboteurs rigging local gas stations and water towers with explosives, thus further creating a hazardous environment. Kolonel Akyli of the Palau Tiga Gunung military base sent humanitarian aid via the Pasukan Keamanan Rakyat (People's Security Forces) and the Ministry of Social Services to Kampung Sawah Hutan. However, as the humanitarian aid and the people were en route to the village, the wooden bridge leading to the destination was blown up from hidden explosives planted under the bridge. This resulted in the Senja Selatanian Navy rushing to the scene with the Badan Intelijin Kepulauan Selatan (Southern Islands Intelligence Service) and deliver what was left of the aid, rescue survivors and recover the wounded or dead, and allow the intelligence agency to conduct an initial investigation. Later that day after the news broke out, President Baswedan commented on PanNow! shoving the blame to the Reapers, claiming that the Reapers were responsible for the attack. The Reapers, however, would publicly deny any involvement and provide any proof that they were not behind the incident, placing the blame back on the Panauan Federal Government.
September 2017[]
In the middle of September, the Bandan Intelijen Kepualauan Selatan concluded their investigation and while the three major criminal factions were suspects, the involvement of the Reapers, Roaches, and Ular Boys were determined to be "improbable and illogical," whereas the smaller and lesser known criminal factions "had no chance due to improper armaments and poor logistical execution to pull off such an attack to this scale." This placed attention to the Panauan Federal Government. This resulted in the Senja Selatanian Ministry of Justice to place legal charges on President Baswedan due to "sabotage of the civilian infrastructure, severe bodily injuries of civilian and government officials, and negative tampering and destruction of marshlands." President Baswedan took to PanNow! and posted "Mr. Play Commander that is playing army recommended placing "sanctions" against me, my generals, and some shadowy people fighting for democracy in ALL of Panau." Leftenan Kolonel Galang would take to PanNow! and state "your actions seriously harmed people. What "reasonable" president sends borderline mercenaries out to kill people and destroy national critical infrastructure?" The terrorist attack angered many people in the Republic of Panau and the Senja Selatan. Sri Irawan was no exception to the matter. Being the leader of the Ular Boys, Sri and a platoon of Ular Boys had proceeded to assist the Pelayanan Darurat Kementerian dan Kebutuhan Mendesak (Ministry of Emergency Services and Urgent Needs) with building a new bridge and the Kepulauan Selatan with (Southern Isles Militia) with providing additional security against the Panauan government and other terrorists that may be roaming the area. The gesture from Sri Irawan was taken in gratitude from Fil Marsyal Sinaga and Leftenan Kolonel Galang, leading them to publicly thank Sri Irawan and the Ular Boys.
In late September, Leftenan Galang would participate in a military exercise with the Senja Selatanian Navy. The first event will be an exercise will consist of the Senja Selatanian Maritime Forces (boat operators and engineers) and Naval Ground Troops to raid the Pelantar Gas Panau Selatan Oil Rig and preform an SNG-O (Snatch And Grab Operation.) In this exercise, the Senja Selatanian Maritime Forces will operate motorized dinghies while equipped with scuba gear, various silenced firearms, night vision goggles, grappling hooks, and an apprximate location of where the HVI (High Value(d) Individual) and a specific laptop is. After both are recovered, they must call for evacuation by going out the way they came in and wait for the Maritime Forces to arrive with an armored speedboat. The second event will be a wargame that will consist of the Senja Selatanian Naval Forces opposing the Senja Selatanian Army and the Milisi Kepulauan Selatan (Southern Islands Militia) at the Kem Port Rodrigo Naval Base. Whomever can capture and secure the base first will win the wargame. When posted to social media, President Baswedan spoke his mind by saying "The Panauan Reich is desperately wanting a war... War is real, not a children's game. Be careful with what you wish."
October 2017[]
In early October, the military exercise and the military wargame was authorized to take place. Both were a success, much like the first wargames that took place months prior. However, later in October, civilians hiking through the Senja Selatanian marshlands caught militarized individuals belonging to the Panauan Armed Forces. The Senja Selatanian citizens reported their findings to the Pasukan Keamanan Rakyat, which caused the Panauan troops to attempt to flee the scene. However, due to how close the report was made to the border and to the waterways, the fleeing Panauan troops were able to be located and captured by Senja Selatanian Army Military Policemen stationed near a border crossing post. Upon further investigation, the Senja Selatanian Army MP's found that the Panauan troops were in reconnaissance units in both the Panauan Army and Air Force. The Senja Selatanian Army MP's forwarded their findings to the Bandan Intelijen Kepualauan Selatan, where the men were taken to the Wajah Ramah Fortress for further questioning and interrogation. The Panauan military personnel were sent to the Senja Selatanian Ministry of Justice and were read their rights under the Senja Selatanian Regulations for Captive Individuals. The captured Panauan military personnel had their uniforms and equipment seized and where authorized to write letters to the Panauan Federal Government, their homes, and other potential employers or individuals so they can guarantee their status as being alive and well. President Baswedan demanded the return of the captured Panauans soldiers and airmen, alongside Brigadir Jenderal Bakti via Panauan social media. However, the Senja Selatanian Minister of Justice, Mr. Badan Alatas, wrote to President Baswedan via the Ministry of Postage and Parcel Networking that they are in great physicals shape, great health, and great well being. President Baswedan would take to social media once again with the received letter and demand the return of their men, or "serious consequences will be met very soon." However, Mr. Bandan Alatas would post "Accountability is a hufe part of the government and legal culture here in the Senja Selatan. Prisoners will pay for their crime with their time." This angered President Baswedan, prompting him to stage a new clandestine operation into the Senja Selatan at a much later time.
Due to the capture of the spies and saboteurs, the Permerintahan Rakyat Selatan announced that the "Selatan Counterintelligence Act" will be signed into law, meaning that there will be more checkpoints only on roads leading up to or near any military bases, and more boat patrols near any ports or sensitive waterways. Additionally, the Senja Selatanian's Army will be receiving upgrades by the creation of the new Army Military Police Corps, where being an MP is its own psuedo-"branch" under the Army and will enforce the laws of every military branch and civilian laws if needed. The Selatan Counterintelligence Act will also have Army MP's preform patrols in nature, unguided walkways, national parks, and will be allowed to do stop, identify, and search frisks at the officer's discretion. This is to catch any potential bad actors or terrorists before they strike. While this concerned the citizens of the Senja Selatan, the Permerintahan Rakyat Selatan wanted to stress that "regular life will continue to the best of its abilities."
November 2017[]
In November, Leftenan Kolonel Galang wanted to host the Diwali festival in his hometown of Kampung Keulauan Selatan, even though his home residency was very close to the border of Panau, and he could risk a potential assassination. However, he insisted with being with the citizens and wanted to celebrate this holiday. Countless Senja Selatanian citizens would post photos and videos onto PanNow! of the festival. Fil Marsyal Sinaga would take to PanNow! from the capital, Pekan Kesuma, and wish everyone to have a wonderful time. President Baswedan would state on PanNow! that "anything that comes out of this fake country is pure propaganda, and not to believe what the Panauan Hitler says." The statement was received to be very unpopular with many citizens around Panau and the Senja Selatan.
Leftenan Kolonel Galang and Fil Marsyal Sinaga would make an announcement in late November stating that the Senja Selatanian Armed Forces will be posting a "Military Parade of Might," and it will be taking place on December 1st. The event was going to begin at the Kem Hutan Supply Depot, go through Kampung Sawah Hutan, pass in front of the Seabreeze Sawmill, go through Pekan Dusan Rambutan, and then north to the Pekan Kuala Kering settlement, then circle back around. Many people were very excited for this event. However, President Baswedan would take to PanNow! and state that "they are trying to show their pathetic might to the Panauan Armed Forces... It's like a tiny dog backing up a massive lumber tree.
In the same month, Persident Baswedan signed a special decree that allowed the Secret Service of the Republic of Panau to embed themselves with the Armed Forces of the Republic of Panau. This will allow the Secret Service to utilize the Gunung Merah Radar Facility and the Kem Jalan Merpati Air Base. This would provide the Panauan government with excellent intel. Additionally, this special decree allowed the secret service to preform black operations during wartime and clandestine operations during peacetime. Additionally, they are now allowed to wear regular civilian clothing while using typical issued secret service gear, alongside silenced firearms in civilian clothing - even though they are not in the armed forces.
December 2017[]
On December 1st, The Senja Selatanian Armed Forces wanted to show the citizens their strength. As the evnt started, the Panauan Secret Service thought that he "show of our force" mentioned on PanNow! meant that the Senja Selatanian Armed Forces were going to enter Panau and strike, thus starting a war. The Panauan Secret Service also thought that the Senja Selatanian Armed Forces was using a "parade" as a cover up front, rather than it being an actual parade. Therefore, the Panauan Secret Service forwarded the parade event to the Panauan Air Force, and the Panauan Air Force sent two G9-Eclipse fighter jets from the Palau Dayang Terlena Air Force Base to the parade's location in the Senja Selatan and shoot down any aircraft and destroy any vehicles. Due to the misunderstanding, the Panauan Air Force was responsible for the destruction of the Southern Sawah River Bridge - the third time it's been destroyed, the destruction of the Kampung Sawah Hutan settlement, the inadvertent assassination of the governor of the aforementioned settlement, the deaths of over 90 Senja Selatanian military members, the deaths of over 40 Senja Selatanian civilian residents, the destruction of two H62 Qua Paws, two Sivirkin 15 Havok attack helicopters, three UH-10 Chippewa attack helicopters, six Chepachet PVD's, four MV-V880's, at least two YP-107 Phoenix attack boats, and severely damaged one Winstons Amen 69 attack boat. To make matters worse, this was live on PanNow! and broadcasted to national television. This was easily "one of the biggest massacres since the Pandak Panay Administration."
After the massacre, the Bandan Intelijen Kepualauan Selatan announced that there were over 130 confirmed deaths. One of those deaths was Fil Marsyal Sinaga, whom was rising in the center of the H-62 Quapaw when it was shot at by a G9-Eclipse's autocanon and crashed. Leftenan Kolonel Gilang was extremely angry with the Panauan government. After the massacre, President Baswedan wrote a hand-written letter to Leftenan Kolonel Gilang to the Presidential Tower in Panau City. President Baswedan tried every attempt to apologize and express sorrow. However, Leftenan Kolonel Gilang felt extreme rage. He knew it was time for him to lead the Senja Selatan. With the time he had under Colonel Rakyat a decade ago, and with this experience leading, it was time to put all of that to the test. However, the guilt and sorrow would not leave him. He accepted President Baswedan's invitation - and made it very public. Before he would leave, Leftenan Kolonel Gilang would appoint Leftenan Kolonel Vikal to become the new second-in-command fr the Senja Selatan.
On December 2nd, President Baswedan sent out an H-62 Quapaw to Pekan Kesuma to pick up Leftenan Kolonel Gilang, while being escorted by several highly trained Panauan Secret Servicemen. In Pekan Kesuma's town square, many people were happy to see their leader, but felt nervous with watching him take off in a Panauan helicopter with men in black suits and sunglasses. What Leftenan Kolonel Gilang did not know is that President Baswedan was going to have him detained by all of those men and arrested as soon as they landed at the Panau International Airport. The people of the Senja Seltan were furious at the Panauan government, and wanted some form of revenge in some way, some how. During the flight in the H-62 Quapaw, the helicopter was intercepted just past the settlement of Kampung Anjing Gila and over the water. A couple of UH-10 Chippewa attack helicopters were guiding the H-62 Quapaw with secret service members surrounding the helicopter. As the helicopter was closing into the airport, Leftenan Kolonel Gilang reveled that he had a stash of grenades under his suit, and was wearing a make-shift suicide bomb vest. This alarmed the secret service members and the nearby pilots. However, before they could react, Leftenan Kolonel Gilang pulled the pin on one of the grenades, and the rest exploded shortly thereafter. This brought down the H-62 Quapaw and damaged the nearby helicopters.
Declaration of War against the Republic of Panau[]
The martyr of Leftenan Kolonel Gilang was widely unexpected, even to President Baswedan whom was at the airport waiting for the helicopter to land. His death saddened the citizens of the Senja Selatan and those who supported him in Panau. President Baswedan then went to PanNow! and designated the Senja Selatanian Armed Forces and all enablers as "terrorist organizations." With this, Leftenan Kolonel Vikal - now the new Commander in Chief of the Senja Selatan, would declare war on the Republic of Panau.
With the People of the Senja Selatan constantly feeling irritated, belittled, betrayed, and consistently failed by President Baswedan and his administration, the people of the Senja Selatan would view the war against the Republic of Panaau as very favorable and would even join the military to support the war efforts in droves. President Baswedan would consistently act very unprofessional and abuse his government powers to kick the Senja Selatan and its people down.
During all of December, Leftenan Kolonel Vikal focused on upgrading the Senja Selatanian Armed Forces and created the "Korps Relawan Senja," (or "Dusk Volunteer Corps,") where contractors and mercenaries from anywhere can assist in the fight against the Republic of Panau. Various battles took place, such as the Battle of the Pemainan Racun Facility, the Battle of the Sungai Jernih Air Base, and advancements through the Panau Tengah Bay, moving north. While taking bases and facilities was easy for the Senja Selatanian Armed Forces, open and outdoor combat was easy for the Armed Forces of the Republic of Panau.
While the Senja Selatanian ground forces were struggling to make gains in Panau Tengah Bay, the Senja Selatanian Naval Forces were able to grab four empty islands just west of the Kem Udara Wau Pantas Air Force Base and set up temporary encampments. The Senja Selatanian ground forces decided to shift focus to the southwest of the Lautan Lama Desert, where they tried to take Kampung Danau Lengkong. However, the Senja Selatanian ground forces would be pushed back. The Panauan Army had employed the use of the local criminal factions in that part of the desert, alongside the Air Force. After repeated attempts of trying to ush into the desert, Jeneral Atok Bahri - the Commander of the Senja Selatan Army, would be fired for consistent troop failure and loss of confidence. As the Senja Selatanian Army and other ground forces readjusted their focus to push up north into the Panau Tengah Bay, the Senja Selatanian Naval Forces would launch a stealth raid against the Kepulauan Senjakala Beta Communication Center, and used it to send a notification to the Senja Selatanian greater command to approach with reinforcements and higher firepower - when the time was right.
The creation of Task Force 132[]
Mejar Satyalim was one of the few highly ranked commissioned officers fighting out on the battlefield, and was constantly finding new ways to innovate. During his time serving under Colonel Abdul Rahman a decade ago as a non-commissioned officer nearly a decade ago and commissioning within recent history, Mejar Satyalim was very familiar with combat control and wanted to utilize a proper team to get missions and objectives done quicker and more effectively, rather than working with random people. Therefore, he proposed a plan by collecting files of active duty Senja Selatanian officers that were also skilled in their jobs and in combat. When Mejar Satyalim brought the files to Fil Marsyal Vikal, and the people Mejar Satyalim were particularly chosen.

Later in December, the Senja Selatanian Army and the Dusk Volunteer Corps fought northwards and scored victories during the Battle of Negeri Cengkih. Meanwhile, Task Force 132, with the assistance of the Dusk Volunteer Corps, would successfully infiltrate and into the Telok Ayer Batang military base and silently elimenated all base personnel, which would eventually result in an unexpected Panauan Armed Forces advancement on Christmas Day.
Senja Selatanian-Panauan Armed Clash in South East Tanah Raya[]
During the tail-end of December 2017, The Senja Selatanian Armed Forces and the Panauan Military would begin fighting in South East Tanah Raya region.
January 2018[]
Around the beginning of January 2018, Task Force 132 would infiltrate the Kem Udara Wau Pantas Air Force Base and plant explosives and other destructive equipment on and around the Panauan Air Force's aircraft, the runway, and other aspects of their nationally critical infrastructure. This would result in one Bering I-860O in being destroyed, alongside severely damaging the runway, obliterating any nearby heavy drops and medical supplies intended for Panauan troops, amongst other forms of chaos and destruction. Over time, The Senja Selatanian Armed Forces would advance from the civilian town of Kampung Papan Tanda all the way to Negeri Cabang. With how well the Senja Selatanian Armed Forces advanced, the Panauan Air Force would proceed to split the front line in half by bombing and firing upon the farmland, open areas, and roadways between Kampung Papan Tanda, Kampung Sawah Luas, Gunung Lapik, Kampung Monyet Lena, and Negeri Cabang. With the Panauan Air Force killing off most of the Senja Selatanian Armed Forces in that surrounding areas, it became clear to Fil Marsyal Vikal that South East Tanah Raya may be a heavy choke point.
During the middle of January, five of the Task Force would re-enter the Kem Udara Wau Pantas Air Force Base while being deep undercover wearing Panauan Air Force uniforms. All of the members of Task Force 132 were either serving or had enlisted during Pandak Panay's administration, and were stationed at this Panauan Air Force Base, giving them an advantage of knowing where things are located and how to navigate the place. Their operation was to locate the base's commander and preform a snatch and grab or an assassination. Given the fact that the base was out of commission for the Panauan Air Force, Task Force 132 had to shoot their way out of the military base with the base commander and managed to steal a lone and undamaged H-62 Quapaw, flying the base commander back to the Wajah Ramah Fortress's prison section. With the capture of the base commander, this allowed the Senja Selatanian Army and Naval Air Force infantry to move in and capture the base, which expanded the Senja Selatanian borders northern. At the same time, 5 other Task Force 132 would be working with the Senja Selatanian Navy and seize control of the Pasir Putih Naval Station simultaneously.
Near the end of January, Fil Marsyal Vikal would formalize an agreement to meet with a the owner of Tri-Point Security Consulting, a Moroccan-based Private Military Company owned by a British man that has employees operating all around the world. Fil Marsyal Vikal has had his eyes on northwestern portion of the Lautan Lama Desert, central of the Panau Tegah Bay. He also knew there was a struggle in South East Tanah Raya, so the utilization of mercenaries may give them a proper foothold.
The Agency would peek over to Panau and ask President Baswedan if everything was okay and if the situation was under control. President Baswedan stated that he did not want help or any agents to come onto the island, and that they were not needed. The Agency, however, would respond to the undercover agents presently on the island and send them aid. The lead agent, Agent Banks, would complain to the case manager stating that they have not been getting responses to issues quick enough, and that the war against the Senja Selatan has been escalating tremendously. The Agency, however, seemed not to care enough due to other affairs with other agents doing other operations. This left Agent Banks frustrated and very curious as to what else could have been important.
A rogue agent secretly working for the Senja Selatanian Armed Forces requested a shipment of various rifles, machine guns, and pistols to be delivered to the Tanah Lebar Air Force Base. The request was placed on the 10th of January and was delivered via a cargo heavy drop on the 13th of January, where the Senja Selatanian Army would take the shipments and use the weapons to further the fight against the Panauan military.
February 2018[]
Fil Marsyal Vikal and Thomas Hanson would reach an agreement to work together and begin working together. Task Force would be stationed at the Pasir Putih Naval Station where Task Force 132 and the Senja Selatanian Navy were recently. While no exact number was disclosed, it was stated that "many hundreds" were patrolling the naval station, alongside Tasik Cerah alone. However, the Tri-Point contractors would be patrolling the captured parts of the Panau Tengah Bay and South East Tanah Raya in the thousands, and hundreds would be fighting in the front lines of the Senja Selatanian Army, and fighting alongside Task Force 132 in very sparse numbers.
Sawah River Struggle[]
Task Force 132 would find themselves running low on ammunition and their energy overall. They would find that the use of contractors/mercenaries would be a sign on an impending defeat. Although they took over Kuala Geneng with minor challenges and small losses to the contractors, they found find that moving beyond the island and going north toward Negeri Selatan or Pekan Lengkong would be a death march without proper reinforcements. The Senja Selatanian NAVCOM (Naval Command) was beginning to fall short on sending reinforcements and aerial support, which also frustrated the Task Force.
Around Late February, Task Force 132, alongside the Senja Selatanian Armed Forces, the Tri-Point contractors, and the Milisi Sawah (Sawah Militia,) would capture the southern end of the Sawah River. This would lead to President Baswedan calling for an emergency meeting in Panau City to discuss the possibilities of a draft.
March 2018[]
During the first week of March, Task Force 132, the Senja Selatanian Armed Forces, and the Tri-Point contractors would proceed to push beyond the ECP (entry control point) and move into the Negeri Tenggara Army Base, shared with the Panauan Air Force's infantry and the Panauan Army. While they did not have much of a challenge getting into the base, they did face many losses due to the Lembah Delima airstrip being right across the street and armed with attack helicopters and armed personnel from the Panauan Army. While the Tri-Point contractors took most of the casualties, the Senja Selatanian Naval Air Force was able to assist with seizing control of the Lembah Delima air strip while Task Force 132 and the Senja Selatanian Army took over the Negeri Tenggara Army Base.
President Baswedan would place a P$50,000 bounty on all 10 Task Force 132 members to anybody that is willing to capture and bring any or all of Task Force 132. The Task Force 132 members might be brought to the High Court of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Panau to face justice, or they must be killed and evidence must be legitimate, secured, and preserved. This did spark some inspiration to President Baswedan's loyal followers, but most of the Panauan public did not want to join the war just to find and kill 10 Panauan elite soldiers. When Task Force 132 heard the news of the bounties placed on them, they began to feel as if they could become a target from their very own - especially the mercenaries fighting alongside them. Fil Marsyal Vikal would take to PanNow! and stated that any treasonous acts against the Senja Selatan would be met with the death penalty, and defection would result in bounties being placed against any offenders. This was in an effort to protect Task Force 132 so they could continue to push forward. Later to middle to late February, Task Force 132 began moving deeper into geographical East Tanah Raya with the Tri-Point contractors. While they took many casualties and continued to battle both on foot through the forests, by the Panau Motorway, and through various settlements, they were able to capture the Lebah Delima airstrip, Kampung Kosa Besar, Kampung Sawah Hijau, Desa Kuda Lari, Kampung Tanah Bernilai, Kampung Tanah Runtuh, and Gunung Pawang Tua.
Task Force 132 has been making waves in both the Senja Selatanian media and the Republic of Panau. They had earned themselves very high praise and followership from the people of the Senja Selatan. They got so popular for being such experienced and skilled fighters, the locals in more civilized areas would frequently see recruitment posters with their names and faces plastered on there. However, while this was happening, Task Force 132 began to feel extremely tired, frustrated, and overall sick. They have noticed that as of recently, they have been seeing more mercenaries and contractors fighting alongside with them than fellow Panauans.
Later in March, more Tri-Point mercenaries have arrived, alongside hundreds of soldiers hand selected to participate in the Awan Cendawan Power Plant Raid. A spy from within the National Panauan Intelligence Agency warned Task Force 132 that President Baswedan was going to order the shut down of the power plant and have it destroyed by the end of the month. Task Force 132, the Tri-Point mercenaries and the Senja Selatanian Army would meet a kilometer out from the power plant before striking. When they tactically moved in upon the power plant, they found that there was no fence, wall, or proper security behind the base. They then proceeded to move in rapid succession and storm the base quickly while using suppressed weapons and quick wit to fire upon any Panauan military members. This caught the Panauan military off guard, as the Senja Selatanian forces, alongside the mercenaries, spread out and were all over the base. They raided every building, killing anyone on sight. Within the hour, the power plant was successfully raided. However, there were explosives planted all over the base, and a detonation button was found in an admin office. Most of the members of Task Force 132 were very knowledgeable with bombs and explosives. They ordered the mercenaries and the Senja Selatanian Army to stand guard and cover all sectors while they went around the base, disarming any bombs that may have been hidden.
April 2018[]
In early April, Task Force 132 found themselves to become exhausted and restless. They were in very poor health and needed to take a desperate knee. Mercenaries of Tri-Point and the present members of the Senja Selatanian Army were very understanding and called for reinforcements. However, The Senja Selatanian ARMCOM (Army Command) did not send the reinforcements in time, and the Panauan Air Force was becoming more and more daring in their moves. While the SAM sites were repurposed at the power plant many of the members were tired and hungry. Most men and women could not move as well or fight as effectively. As time went on, Fil Marsyal Vikal would become frustrated with the lack of progression north. This resulted in Members of Task Force 132 to snap back at Fil Mrsyal Vikal by posting a video of them online, explaining how the Senja Selatanian High Command has not been assisting with the war efforts as much, compared to when the war first started, Present fighters at the seized power plant agreed with the sentiment. This would cause a tremendous humiliation to Fil Marsyal, and would give President Baswedan ammunition to continue hurling insults their way.
The Betrayal of Task Force 132[]
Around middle of April, members of Task Force 132 began commanding the mercenaries to patrol the area and find resources from other military bases, The Awan Cendawan Power Plant effectively became a new stronghold for Task Force 132. Effectively, they became a new quasi-regiment under the Senja Selatanian Armed Forces. They began posting more on PanNow! about this as well. Fil Marsyal would proceed to contact Mejar Satyalim - the Task Force's creator via transmission and order him to return to the battlefield. Mejar Satyalim would reply via transmission stating that they need food, water cleaning supplies, and ammunition. Fil Marsyal would fulfill the request, but things would remain stagnant for another short while. President Baswedan would taunt the Task Force and the Senja Selatanian Armed Forces for "getting tired and giving up."
Around the end of April, the Senja Selatanian Army would arrive just outside the the Awan Cendawan Power Plant. Via a transmission, Fil Marsyal Vikal would would send a platoon most loyal to him to the power plant and have it motored. While the main power plant and all of the components were fine, the platoon that was sent charged towards the front of the gate that they destroyed and were met with a rain of bullets and other forms of gunfire. This was when Task Force 132 realized that they were effectively betrayed by Fil Marsyal Vikal, and posted the announcement on PanNow!. This angered Task Force 132 tremendously, as well as most of the residents in the Senja Selatan, alongside those actively serving in the Senja Selatanian Armed Forces.
After the betrayal and the attempted assassination of Task Force 132, the Task Force came together and aired their grievances with one another. During a closed door meeting, they mentioned how the Senja Selatanian Armed Forces was losing focus, and the country itself was likely at risk of dissolving and collapsing. After much discussion of the government, they realized that the Senja Selatan could not operate how it continues to. They also realized that the form of government utilized by the Republic of Panau may also risk the Senja Selatan in collapse as well, especially with how President Baswedan was running Panau and all of the negative effects it was bringing to his country. After much discussion and longing for the past, they remembered the "old times" and the "better days" of Panau. Together, they formulated a plan to create a new government and start anew. Kolonel Satyalim would proceed to mention that the they could all formulate a new political system and party to rule over. However, he also conveyed that they would have to keep the front lines moving forward, but they would have to make their march back to the Selatan Archipelago territory and locate the whereabouts of Fil Marsyal Vikal and all of the other military and government leaders. Effectively, Task Force 132 would devise a plan to find and kill their leaders and use their public supporters and rally them together in order to create a stronger Senja Selatan. Seftenan Jenderal Hartono, the highest ranking member of the Senja Selatanian Task Force 132, would agree with this.
May 2018[]
2018 Panauan Armed Forces Counteroffensive in East Tanah Raya[]
Task Force 132 would create a dedicated social media page across PanNow!, knowing they had many supporters and followers across Panau and the Senja Selatan. Public Affairs members would be hired from within the team at the Awan Cendawan Power Plant that was already there upon the initial raid. As weeks would go on, videos would be posted of Task Force 132, the Tri-Point contractors, and the Senja Selatanian Armed Forces capturing and liberating various settlements around the geographical East Tanah Raya. However, they would get as far as to liberate Kampung Padi Hilang before the Panauan Air Force and the Panauan Army would begin a large counter offensive. This would leave Task Force 132, the Tri-Point mercenaries, and the Senja Selatanian Armed Forces in a long stagnated battle. Even though Task Force 132 was in a recovering state, they still opted to fight with the men and women around them in order to gain support and trust.
Around the middle of May, the Panauan Air Force began to gain air superiority with Cape Carnival and Paya Luas. Various Panauan airborne infantry units would be deployed from the Pelaut Archipelago, dislocated united from East Tanah Raya stationed in the Pelaut Archipelago or the Berawan Besar Mountains, and stationed units in the Berawan Besar Mountains. Between attack aircraft and Panauan troops raining down above them, this would cause members of the Task Force to split up as members of the Senja Selatanian Armed Forces and the mercenaries would begin taking heavy losses. At the same time, this took advantage of the receding front lines to make it appear as if Task Force 132 would become casualties in the war, get captured, or get lost. However, this would be the fate to certain Task Force 132 members as few did get captured, lost, or killed. The plan to march back to the Selatan Archipelago to find and kill Fil Marsyal Vikal would remain true - but only with a few members less than intended.
Towards the end of May, Public Affairs members affiliated with Task Force 132 would begin posting content showing the withdrawal of the front lines. This would anger and worry Fil Marsyal Vikal and those around him, while pleasing President Baswedan. The Panauan Armed Forces would push as far down as to Kem Harimau Putih and Bandar Pekan Lama, restoring those areas to Panauan control. Little did Fil Marsyal know, this was both done deliberately by Task Force 132 and as a show of force by the Panauan Armed Forces. Although, he did not see the poetic message of it meaning that as the front lines go south, so did the members of Task Force 132 - as they began closing in on him and his leaders.
Around the final week of May, members of Task Force 132 would find themselves in the Kepulauan Senjakala Alpha communication station, using it to pinpoint the whereabout of Fil Marsyal Vikal and his appointed leaders. While snooping through their government's assets and documentation via online shared drives and encrypted filesharing networks within the Senja Selatan, Task Force 132 discovered that Fil Marsyal Vikal created a tiny inner circle to protect him and whatever area he would be in. In a sense, he created a personalized and privatized Task Force 132 - but they speculated that they were more loyal to Fil Marsyal Vikal than they were trained. This allowed Task Force 132 to realize that the Senja Selatanian Army platoon were specifically picked by Fil Marsyal Vikal himself - and privately done so. This also explained why the Senja Selatanian Armed Forces did not fire upon the Task Force when they pushed forward in East Tanah Raya. Effectively, Task Force 132 and the Senja Selatanian Army were both not friends but also not enemies. This made the Task Force feel threatened and expedited their feeling and need to push their assassination operation forward.
June 2018[]
Task Force 132 would devise a plan to find and locate Fil Marysal Vikal, alongside the Jeneral of the Senja Selatanian Army, the Laksamana Armada of the Senja Selatanian Navy, and the Jeneral of the Naval Air Force. They would also target any tiny groups that are similar to the one Fil Marsyal Vikal made for himself - groups that are more loyal than they are trained. By creating a power vacuum, this would allow Task Force 132 to take all of those positions and start anew with the next form of government. This effectively would be a military coup. Leftenan Jenderal Hartono would be the one who proposed this idea, which the rest of the group would agree to. Leftenan Jenderal would devise a plan between the remaining seven Task Force 132 members. Two members would target the Jeneral of the Senja Selatanian Army, two members would target the Laksamana Armada of the Senja Selatanian Navy, two members would target the Jenderal of the Naval Air Force, and after all of the Commanders of every branch is taken out, whomever would remain would all focus their efforts on Fil Marsyal Vikal - the sitting President of the Senja Selatan.
Around the middle of June, the front lines were pushing more and more southern, leading to the eventual recapture of the Awan Cendawan Power Plant. The Panauan Military would be proving to make significant gains on the battlefield. With the absence of Task Force 132, this would cause the Senja Selatanian citizens to feel uneasy and worry about the status of the group. To Fil Marsyal Vikal, he speculated that they may have survived, given that the platoon of motor squads he sent out never reported back. However, the Commanders of every branch believed that the Panauan Military took them out, alongside Task Force 132. With the receding front lines, Fil Marsyal Vikal would order a massive hunt for members of Task Force 132 and would award even basic confirmation of their statuses. When Task Force 132 heard about this, they ditched their military uniforms and armor, changed their physical appearances through the method of various fashionable and cometic changes and maintained their sidearms, ditching their uniforms and other notable equipment in the Palau Kenjantanan waters.
With only their basic communication earpieces, tactical collapsible tablets, handheld sidearms left - with the addition of silencers, they split up in groups of three, with 2 members going after the Army's Commander, the Navy's Commander , and the Naval Air Force's Commander. Whomever would still be alive after the assassination of all three groups, the remainders of Task Force 132 would face Fil Marsyal Vikal head-on.
Towards the end of June, Fil Marsyal Vikal would enforce a draft of the Senja Selatanian people, and would have Tri-Point CEO Thomas Hanson get more mercenaries into the battlefield - which he did effective immediately. The draft sparked outrage and worry amongst the Senja Selatanian public. This would be used as ammunition, especially considering that two Panauan Army soldiers and a Panauan Air Force Airman located the bodies of three dead Task Force 132 members - which sparked grave concern amongst the highest ranking members of the Senja Selatanian Armed Forces. This would lower the moral of most of the Senja Selatanian Armed Forces, and would spark worry and uncertainty amongst even the smallest inner factions the Commander formed to protect themselves with. The remaining members of Task Force 132 used this all to their advantage, as they had the element of surprise on their side.
July 2018[]
Operation Nightfall[]
During the first week of July, the Task Force would disembark from the Kepulauan Senjakala Alpha communication station. The initial Senja Selatanian Navy radio operator team would be found dead. Task Force 132 killed them in fear that they would report their location, and wanted to eliminate any risk of exposure while they were held up. The team of three had located the Senja Selatan's Naval Air Force Commander located at the Pulau Dongeng Naval Air Force Base, where he would increase the base security to the maximum possible level. The Senja Selatanian Army Commander was found at the Lembah Firdaus Compund, where he as hiding in a stage of paranoia. Finally, the Senja Selatanian Navy Commander would be located at the Kem Kuala Atara Naval Station. However, Fil Marsyal Vikal's location would remain unknown. With this information, Task Force 132 began their journey east.
The Public Affairs affiliates of Task Force 132 would continue posting Senja Selatanian successes, which kept the Senja Selatanian people in a hopeful mood. Around this time in the middle of July, the front line would be stagnated at the southern end of the Sawah River. However, Senja Selatanian Armed Forces and Tri-Point contractors would remain in control of the Lembah Delima Airstrip and surrounding settlements and military bases. Essentially, this would be another Sawah River Struggle - but with the roles reversed.
Tri-Point mercenaries would begin pushing forward in geographical East Tanah Raya, but the Panauan Navy would succeed in covering their influence on the Sawah River. However, the effects of Task Force 132 missing from the battlefield was a heartfelt and difficult reality for the Senja Selatanian Armed Forces and those drafted into the military.
Near the end of July, one group of two would locate the Senja Selatanian Naval Air Force Commander at the Pulau Dengong Naval Air Force Base and would sneak in using disguised Senja Selatanian Naval Air Force uniforms - since their civilian clothing would not suffice as a proper disguise. They posed as high ranking officials and was successful in persuasion and manipulation tactics in order to get close to the leader. Once the opportunity was presented, the first group of Task Force 132 would pull out a silenced pistol and kill the Naval Air Force's Commander, but they would have a difficult escape - resulting in one member being shot in the forest as they fled west towards the water. The news would break around the Senja Selatan, although the Naval Air Force would make a large attempt to cover the story up. President Baswedan would proceed to credit Panauan Secret Service, which would infuriate Fil Marsyal Vikal. Unbeknownst to the both of them, Task Force 132 would be responsible for his death.
August 2018[]
The remaining members of Task Force 132 would hear the news. They heard that one of their members died during an escape, but oddly never heard from the second member. With two teams left, one team was beginning to close in on the Senja Selatanian Army's Commander at the Lembah Firdaus Compound, where he would be fortified in a building furthest from the entrance. With recently acquired ghillie suits and thermal resistant spray, the second team of Task Force 132 would sneak in through the forested back end, where they would lay eyes on a heavily fortified building. One of the members decided to kill a Senja Selatanian Army soldier and steal his uniform, further moving into the central area of the base and commit to a mass shooting. This would spook the Army's personal guards, as they would rush towards the shooter and engage in a gunfight. This would leave the spare member of this split team to kill any Senja Selatanian Army guards protecting the Army Commander and break into the fortified building, where he would find him hiding behind a desk. As a result, the remaining Task Force 132 member would spray 45. ACP bullets in the Army Jeneral's direction, eventually killing him. However, the remaining Task Force 132 member would not make it out of the compound alive, but radioed to the rest of the Task Force that the Army Jenderal was dead.
As news broke out, Fil Marsyal Vikal would enforce a mandatory curfew of 0600 through 1900 (6AM through 7PM) due to wartime struggles and internal government issues. President Baswedan would take to PanNow! and praise the downfall of the Senja Selatan. In the middle of August, President Baswedan would pass a bill stating that "any collaborators or sympathizers may face a P$100,000 fine with a minimum of 20 years of hard labor, all the way up to a life sentence or death sentence." This would worry all members of the Senja Selatanian Armed Forces, Tri-Point contractors, and Senja Selatan citizens combined. This resulted in a boost in enlistment numbers to the Senja Selatanian Armed Forces.
In very late August, only Leftenan Komander Baskoro, Kolonel Satyalim, and Leftenan Jeneral Hartono, to find the Commander of the Senja Selatanian Naval Air Force. When evaluating the amount of members left and the number of positions to take out, Kolonel Satyalim told Leftenan Jeneral Hartono that all three of them could lead the branches of Senja Selatanian Armed Forces. Leftenan Jenderal Hartono would agree with the idea. The remaining three would use extreme caution and tactical awareness when approaching the Kem Kuala Utara Naval Base. This was a naval base that Leftenan Jeneral Hartono was stationed at when he was a Letnan Dua of the Panauan Navy during the earliest days of Papa Panay's administration. He knew every building, every layout, whereas the other two members were unfamiliar with the base. As time went on, they discovered the Senja Selatanian Naval Commander, where Leftenan Jeneral Hartono would demand the location of Fil Marsyal Vikal. This is where Leftenan Jeneral Hartono would recieve the answer of "di mana semuanya dimulai," or "where it all started." Kem Jalan Padan Luas.
On August 30th, Leftenan Jenderal Hartono would log into Task Force 132's social media account and would take a photo at the capital, Pekan Kesuma. He followed up with a video where he stated "Prepare for a change to return." He would proceed to mention the failures of the Senja Selatanian higher government and various military failures. He mentioned that Fil Marsyal Vikal was a wolf in sheep's clothing, and that there must be a demand for stronger power. When posted on PanNow!, this was a massive shock to both President Baswedan and to Fil Marsyal Vikal. Fil Marsyal Vikal ordered the entirety of the Senja Selatanian Armed Forces to be on the lookout for Leftenan Jeneral Hartono and anyone that was with him. However, most of the force would not bother with finding Task Force 132 as they were too preoccupied taking East Tanah Raya, and the general public had a huge support for Task Force 132 to begin with. Fil Marsyal Vikal did not know it, but his leadership reputation and overall image was extremely weak. After the treatment of Task Force 132 and the loss of East Tanah Raya, people lost trust in him and would not follow the more serious commands.
On August 31st, Leftenan Jeneral Hartono, Kolonel Satyalim, and Lefenan Komander Baskoro would stealthily fight their way around the Kem Jalan Padang Luas military base using extreme caution and relying on their advanced combat training, and their shoot-move-communicate training. They would find Fil Marsyal Vikal situated in a room near the bottom of a bio fuel shaft, where he would be placed in hiding. Leftenan Jeneral Hartono and the rest would move down the bio fuel shaft, silently killing off Fil Marsyal Vikal's security detail. The closer Leftenan Jenderal Hartono got to Fil Marsyal Vikal, the more adrenaline he was beginning to feel. As the trio reached the bottom, Leftenan Jenderal Hartono would post a video onto PanNow!, where he would then announce that "radical changes are to be made." This would make national news, where President Baswedan would be cheering on the event.
The Revenge from Task Force 132[]
Being the highest ranking person, Leftenan Jeneral Hartono told Kolonel Satyalim and Leftenan Komander Baskoro that Fil Marsyal Vikal may be armed, so rushing and clearing may be an option. He wanted to stress the point that they must rush in and disarm him, just in case if he was armed. The two would understand, leading Leftenan Jeneral Hartono to grab the door handle. He would swiftly open the door and the two rushed in, killing any of Fil Marsyal Vikal's security and ensuring he was kept alive. However, the doors shut behind them. Kolonel Satyalim and Leftenan Komander Baskoro were tunnel visioned to a point where they did not realize Leftenan Jeneral Hartono wasn't in the room with them. Leftenan Jeneral Hartono instead shut the door behind them and placed several heavy barricades and boxes in front of the doorway. From that point Fil Marysal Vikal would proceed to confess that he was obsessed with power, and Task Force 132 was supposed to be his right hand faction for any special operations or anything of that sort. The entire room was rendered worried as to what Leftenan Jeneral Hartono was up to. Little did they know, he would encounter Fil Marsyal's inner circle from within the Senja Selatanian Army at the bottom of the biol fuel shaft. Leftenan Jeneral Hartono would proceed to initiate a self destruction sequence for the bio fuel shaft. The members within Fil Marsyal Vikal's inner circle would attempt to detain him, but he would resist their advancements and approaches and would run and jump up and out of the bio fuel shaft, and would be at the top with less than half a minute to spare.
The Sons of Pandak[]
Hours later, Leftenan Jeneral Hartono would proceed to explain to the people of the Senja Selatan that the Senja Selatanian government was "absolutely and unforgivably corrupt." He would proceed to tell stories about how "he and his team were motored at the Awan Cendawan Power Plant," and how "Fil Marsyal Vikal would neglect the Task Force, and that he is greatly responsible for every member's death or capture." He would continue to tug on the heartstrings of the Panauan People and the Senja Selatanian People, and convince them that "maybe Pandak Panay had a greater point that was overlooked." He would make a speech detailing how things could have been better, he mentioned the failures of the Senja Selatan, he mentioned the outcries of the Senja Selatanian People - and how the war even started in the first place. He rallied the people to rise, and he would - in that moment, assume new leadership for the Senja Selatan. He would promise revamped military provisions and operations, and he would "expand beyond the Senja Selantan." He was able to convince people through his livestream with convincing speech, intriguing details, and enchanting emotion that the "Sons of Pandak will restore Panau to the superpower it was deserved to become."
President Baswedan would become extremely worried, whereas the Senja Selatanian Armed Forces, the Tri-Point Mercenaries, and the people of the Senja Selatan would become captivated and enthralled with what they would describe as "the closest thing to a benevolent leader that Panau has ever had - since Papa Panay." Things would begin to look extremely ugly for President Baswedan. So much so, The Agency would begin looking into the Panau case once again with elevated interest. They would insist that Panau needs help when the Daniel Hawkins spoke to President Baswedan. However, President Baswedan - thinking he had a point to prove, would once again deny foreign aid to Panau. This would prove to be a vital mistake to Panau that may be fatal.
September 2018[]
The creation of the Sons of Pandak would create widespread attention in the Republic of Panau, neighboring countries, and the United States. Citizens of the Senja Selatan would have mixed reactions of the group's creation. Some citizens would feel empowered to the group and join, others would exercise caution in regular life - as most citizens in Panau did under Pandak Panay's rule, other citizens would continue living life regularly, and others would aspire and attempt to flee back into Panau.
