Highway Robber is a mission in Operation Indigo.
Plot[]
Starting where we left off, Mira needs to retrieve the gear from whoever Agosto sold it to. She looks at Agosto's computer, but it has a password that only he knows. She goes on her phone to search for any signs of the gear's location, but finds nothing. She is about to give up, but as a last resort asks him. Surprisingly he gives her the password, but it soon becomes clear why. He knows there is a very low chance of her finding the exchange, but underestimated her knowledge of computers.
She looks at his contacts and finds the exchange to be between him and a person who happens to work with an agency affiliated with the company Sheldon worked for. She contacts the guy and it turns out that he sold the gear to the higher ups of the agency after not finding a use for it. She then directly contacts the boss of the agency, who informs her that the gear is secured as evidence for Agosto's past crimes. Unfortunately they only have enough evidence for the charge associated with the gear.
The boss then turns the evidence over to court, and asks Mira if she could bring Agosto there tomorrow. She agrees and goes off to search for him. Still thinking he got away with the crime, and that Mira is gone, he stays at the apartment to see how much money he got from the transfer. He expects to see trillions in the bank, given the grappling hook's value alone, but comes up empty. Just as he is about to look for the money, Mira storms in. He asks why she is trespassing, thinking she does not own it anymore as they separated. She corrects him, stating that she is still the legal owner and has a "special arrangement" for him.
The two fly to Washington, DC for the court hearing, confusing Agosto. Mira explains that the guy he sold the gear to turned it in to his boss after finding no use for it. The boss then got a phonecall from her just as he (the boss) was in the process of securing the evidence. It turns out that Agosto was a prime target for the agency for decades. The trio then head to the court and start the trial.
The judge first calls Mira to the stand, with her showing the evidence. She tells the jury her understanding of the incident, which is everything she knew from the night and the confrontations. The judge then calls Agosto to the stand, with him claiming to not know of the transaction, which he then tries to prove through the hidden camera built into the computer that he forgot to wipe the evidence from. Since it is obvious who did it, and the judge needs to attend another hearing within the next 30 seconds, she skips the rest of the trial and finds him guilty enough to never leave their highest security prison, not even through parole. The charges include assault, larceny, trespassing and obstruction of justice.
The boss and judge both thank Mira for testifying, with the latter asking for the gear now that the case is solved. They hand it over, but then Mira asks what a highway robbery is, and they correctly define it. They change her last name back to Morales now that they are no longer together. Mira thanks them for their help, but then ponders what that definition means for Rico. The scene zooms out from the court to DC, then the United States, then the world, then a question mark appears, ending like a cliffhanger.
