Appearance[]
The Haswell Gen3 Eradicator takes on the visual form of the real-world ARX-160 assault rifle, developed by the Italian company Beretta. No major visual changes have been made to the firearm.
In-universe usage history[]
The Eradicator was developed by Haswell as an assault weapon designed to use armor-piercing ammunition, creating a heavy assault rifle for effective disposal of light hostile vehicles or infantry body armor. After the Eradicator entered the prototype stage, tests of the rifle proved that the rifle ammunition was powerful enough to do its intended purpose and Haswell then continued to run more tests and create more adaptations before finally releasing it to the market as a heavy assault rifle. Interest quickly grew around the world thanks to the popularity of the previous Haswell Gen2 Vindicator and soon even western nations such as Italy, France, and the United Kingdom began to purchase this weapon and equip their armed forces with it.
In Volosia, the weapon can be found on elite members of the Aleskivich Mafia and the United Volosian Republic, and it can also be requisitioned from both factions upon reaching the appropriate level of Reputation.
Performance[]
The Haswell Gen3 Eradicator is designed as an assault rifle that one would turn to as a means of defeating heavier enemies or vehicles. While each assault weapon in the game will of course eventually destroy enemy vehicles with sustained fire, the Eradicator is specifically designed for this purpose and as such, it is effective against enemies wearing heavy body armor, or against enemy vehicles, even being able to deal significant damage to lightly-armored cars such as the B-8 Pitbull. All in all, it is designed as an anti-armor weapon that can be used against enemy vehicles, without expending nearly as much ammunition as a standard infantry assault rifle.
