Hanging Water is a mission in Operation Indigo.
Plot[]
Rico asks Tom Sheldon where they need to go, and the latter explains the following. The two are sailing past Havana, heading to Serranilla Bank in order to trick the passport system, as the area is disputed between the United States and Colombia (end of explanation). They soon reach the place at 5 in the morning on the island, meaning they are safe.
They then sail to Colombia to be closer to the place they need to go. This goes as planned, landing them in Capurganá, a small coastal town in the country. Now Tom has Rico talk to the locals while he figures out how to cross into the country they need. Meanwhile Rico is socializing with locals and gets a tip from a waitress that they do not need to be discreet with crossing the border. She whispers the details into his ear, then he thanks her before heading over to Tom. After hearing it, the latter packs his stuff while Rico starts up the jeep, which he spray painted with graffiti to look like a military one.
The two drive through the country uninterrupted, until they near the Ecuador border. They get stopped at Punto B, just south of Vuelta Candelillas, since the officer notices Rico's missing left arm, suspecting illegal activity. He explains that he had to take it off since he couldn't remove his grappling hook. The officer grows even more suspicious after the grappling hook was mentioned, since he thinks Tom hurt Rico in some way. The latter grabs the formers phone to call a lawyer, but the lawyer thinks he stole Tom's phone. This results in both men being arrested, despite the situation being a misunderstanding.
Trivia[]
- This mission's title is a pun on the idiom 'hanging fire,' which refers to a delay in taking action or progressing, with the opposite happening here. That is why it is "Hanging Water."
- This is the first mission set outside the United States.
- This is Uzveld's voice debut, albeit not explicitly revealed at this point.
