Fratre in Danneggia is a mission in Operation Indigo.

Synopsis: Mario needs help, but anything could happen.

Locations[]

Plot[]

The mission begins with Lee dropping off Cameron's truck, with the latter starting work on it with Lee acting as a jack while handing him tools. Sheldon is teaching Rico the rules of a word game they are playing, but in the middle of their session the former gets a call from someone. Once he finds out Mario is the caller, he redirects him to Rico.

He is running away from something and is now hiding in a gas station. Sheldon traces his call to a small town in Lacos. Rico sees the map and directs Mario to a nearby monastery. The latter asks how he will get there, as he does not know how to hotwire a car, and Rico suggests having some rebels drop one for him, which he agrees to. The team enters the space shuttle and launch, with Lee carrying the truck.

Meanwhile, Mario finds a civilian whose car broke down nearby. Since he has no other means of taking it to the gas station (which is a few meters away), he pushes it there. Because of this, he gets a resupply point and takes the beacon. However, before throwing it, he decides against doing so as it could alert the pursuer. Instead, he calls it in from his phone.

It drops and he enters the vehicle, which (like all other vehicles from rebel drops) does not need a key as it is disposable. He reaches Sancte Rita and passes by the pastor, urging the latter to get inside. The pastor does his usual thing (putting his hand on the shoulder and walking him in). To be continued.

Trivia[]

General[]

  • The title translates to "brother in harms" in Italian.
    • This is intended as a pun on the phrase "brother in arms".
    • That makes this mission the second to be fully in another language in Operation Indigo, with the first being Prise de Pied.
    • Brother in Harms was the original title.
  • The title card is based on stained glass windows, as the last scenes take place in a monastery.
    • The f, first r, first e, and first e are blue like Mario's shirt.
    • The second a, t, last r, and first i are all a similar shade of orange to the roof of monasteries.
    • The "dann" part is dark blue like Zheitua.
    • The "gia" part is red like Rico's color motif.

Mission/Episode references[]

  • Sheldon's fondness of word games mentioned in the Just Cause 2 mission The White Tiger is re-established.
  • The random encounter Mario completed was Out of Fuel.
  • A civilian is floating at the same position the player can find them in in Just Cause 3, at the parking lot on the east side of the ravine.
