Sakaku City is a location in Just Cause 4: Sakaku.

Description[]

It is the capital city of Sakaku and base to over five hundred thousand Sakakan military personnel.

The Sakakan Ministry of Defense file reveals:

Sakaku City started out as a small village in 1784. With an increased British military force arriving in Sakaku in the wake of the American Revolution, the village was expanded to a city-village hybrid: the size of a city but little occupants. The 1800s saw massive improvements and technology. The 1900s saw the world wars from 1914 to 1918 and 1937 to 1945, an occupation from 1941 to 1945, and independence in 1946 respectively. These events saw the construction, razing, and reconstruction of Sakaku City. Technically, the current Sakaku City is actually a de facto "Second Sakaku City" due to the first one remaining a pile of ruins in the wake of the Japanese burning the capital. The Cold War saw little building growth as the Soviet occupation government actively oppressed the people. In 1991, the Soviet Union collapsed and the city finally began reconstruction efforts, finishing in 2010.

President/General Joseph Inouye was born here on June 15th, 1945.

Siege of Sakaku City (1992 to present)[]

Siege of Sakaku City

Expect this to be a common sight if you're lucky enough to be alive outside.

This city is unique in that this city is in fact, an eternal war zone. Communist rebels from 1992 have a hideout that the Sakakan Armed Forces have been unable to breach. Airstrikes and offensives proved disastrous in 1992-1994, so in 1994, by order of the-then President of Sakaku, traffic all over the city is to remain non-existent and the only vehicles that can be seen driving around are military vehicles or rebel vehicles.
