Autostraad Bezwinger Typ VII is a heavy armored vehicle in fiction by GMRE.

Autostraad Bezwinger Typ VII

Devastating a base.

Description[]

Apart from making some unarmed and unarmored trucks for the Germans during World War II, Autostraad did not have previous experience in designing combat vehicles.

The Bezwinger Typ VII (conqueror type 7) is shaped like a large cone, which allows it to bounce off any enemy fire from all sides. Why is it called type 7? Well let's just say types 1 to 6 did not turn out too well.

Being over two lanes wide, the size and mass make it more comparable to the Nashorn 6100 than to any normal armored vehicle.

It was made some time during the first decade of the 21st century.

Performance[]

The machine is intended to fight a large number of enemies at the same time, often while being surrounded. While normal armored vehicles can only fire into one direction at a time, the Bezwinger Typ VII can fight on all sides. The only disadvantage is that it can not really sneak up on an enemy, due to its height, which makes the vehicle visible, over for example hills, long before its guns are able to fire. At least the driver has a great view.

The vehicle has 4 large wheels, similar to monster truck wheels, but much stronger to support the greater mass. All wheels are powered and they all turn, allowing a relatively small turning circle.

Maximum speed is 50 km/h (31 mph).

If anything, it excels at demolishing bases/outposts.

Locations[]

  • Could function well as DLC.
  • One is apparently parked at Munaku.

Trivia[]

Leonardo da Vinci tank

As designed roughly 600 years ago.

  • The design is an obvious knock-off of the famous tank/armored car designed by Leonardo da Vinci. His vehicle would have been powered by hand cranks and it would have had narrow wooden wheels. The mass of the Old-timy cannons alone would have made the wheels sink into the ground the moment it would have gone off road, but it was obviously only a drawing of his first internally powered armored vehicle, so surely the design would have improved from actual testing. In any case he is credited with having invented the first armored car, or tank.
  • Bezwinger is German for 'conquerer,' which is exactly what it is capable of.
