Rico is called by Sheldon on the CommLink.

"Well, son, there appears to be some anomaly over by Las Maspalas, and you might want to check it out."

The player then heads to the outskirts of Las Maspalas, to see a figure that looks like Rico from Just Cause: Borealis at Dawn
"Who are you?"
"I should be saying the same thing. My name is Rico, Rico Rodriguez, former employee of the Agency."
"But I'M RICO RODRIGUEZ!"
"Ah. That seems odd. Anyway, where is Kali, you should remember her from 2020."
"Who is Kali?"
"You... seriously don't remember her?"
"SHE NEVER EXISTED!"
"Oh..."
"You are FAKE, and must die."

JC: BaD Rico is around equal in many ways to JCU Rico, and thus, you will have to battle with how you see Rico as a fighter. You will have to use the grappler to itss highest potential, and be at the top of your senses, prepare for a long and hard battle"
