Desperate Measures is the twenty-fourth mission of Just Cause 4: Sakaku.

Day 45. December 8th, 2017.
Not long after Canbkaku fell, Rico receives a transmission from an unknown source.
"Rico Rodriguez. You're back. Yes, I am aware you came out of the portal and killed some of my men. I am Adolf Vindi, former scientist and head of the Communist Liberation Army. Well, I have an offer for you. Turn back now. Go home to your America. Or I will be your doom."
"I have a counteroffer. Surrender now... and perhaps I won't have to annihilate the remnants of your military."
"So it saddens me that you cannot be brought to reason."
*Connection terminated by Rico.
Rico steamrolls to Beraku, Boku, and Munaku. But along the way, explosions suddenly ring out.
"It's am ambush! Take cover!"
It was an ambush. And this was no ordinary one.
SAF personnel pile out of their MV T1000s... only to get slaughtered by M047 Tigers. And the worst part? The assailants could not be seen.
A rocket launcher out of nowhere blows up another T1000.
Rico, surprisingly quiet, calmly draws out his own upgraded M047 Tiger and fires a spread of bullets in every direction.
A rocket launcher operator falls from a tree. Several black clothed individuals fall out from elevated positions. One of them appears to have been wounded in the leg only.
Rico with his Protec G6 Retraction Device grapples the wound and pulls the ninja in.
The ninja says nothing. And neither does Rico.
A shot rings out in the night as the ninja is executed.
Hours pass. Boku and Munaku had half their buildings razed by fighting.
Beraku, however, was very deadly. Rico commented that the scene might resemble something of a modern day version of the 1994 siege of Sarajevo.
12:00 AM. December 9th, 2017. Beraku, Boku, and Munaku were liberated despite thousands of casualties on both sides.
