The Delta D3 Nimrod is a vehicle in IronClaw's Just Cause X: Global eXchange series.
Appearance[]
Appearing in the early 2010s, this attack drone, while several times upgraded, became the "warhorse" of the United States Navy and USMC by 2020, replacing many "crewed" helicopters. It proved to deliver deadly ordinance to the enemy just as good (if not better) as "manned" choppers do, but at lower cost and without the human casualties risk.
Nimrods were deployed in numbers to combat Kyungastani and Russian Federation Forces at Koska island, and can be seen patrolling USMC-controlled areas, as well as supporting the troops during small town liberations. Rico Rodriguez can call up four of those for five Command Points.
It's Russian "manned" counterpart is the URGA Giena.
Performance[]
It's badly armored but heavily armed. It's faster then most crewed helicopters, and always stays in motion for evasive maneuvers. It's very hard to hit without homing rockets.
Trivia[]
- It's made by Delta Corporation.
- It's based on the real life Fire-Scout.
- "Nimrod" was a legendary King.
- The Rage-Johnston X12 Keryev is often considered a successor to this vehicle.
