The Bering AV1 Manta is a drone in IronClaw's Just Cause X: Global eXchange series.
Appearance[]
While unable to compete with the American drone industry, the Russian Federation ordered the Bering company (which is secretly controlled by the group behind the Black Hand) to create a drone bomber specifically designed for the Russian Military (which, in reality, is impossible). The result was the AV1 Manta - a cheap, robust and deadly craft capable of carrying ordinance used by Russian forces and be maintained by Russian engineers.
Many of these jets were deployed during the Kyungastani conflict to counter American "Spectre" drones with somewhat moderate effect, as these crafts were roughly equivalent to each other.
This drone often appears at Russian heat levels and during city liberations, but can also be seen peacefully flying overhead while roaming Koska island deserts.
Performance[]
It has pretty average stats, but since it cheap and easy to replace as well as build on stereolitographic plants, Mantas often attack in "swarm" tactics by five crafts at once. With their sophisticated electronics however, they are very vulnerable to the EMPs. One direct blast can down multiple jets at a large radius.
