The Baxter Cheval SB is a sports car in Just Cause: Hjallesund.

Description[]

"Baxter is renowned for its small 1960s city cars such as the Petit. For the brand's rather successful life to 25 years of age, Baxter's CEO and founder, Cameron Baxter moved into the sports car market, with the Cheval, which got a serious kick in performance from allied car brands, such as Titus and Chevalier. Originally sold as I6 only in coupé form, the car was sold as shooting brake the next year using a Chevalier V8 power plant, still with the I6 in lower end cars. Enthusiasts loved the originality and practicality of the shooting brake, but the coupé was just viewed as just another sports car, which was later cut out of production due to low sales. The Cheval SB rode on to set an example of the brand for the future." - In game description.

Appearance[]

It's a front engined shooting brake grand tourer, based primarily on the Reliant Scimitar GTE. It takes some frontal styling from the Ford Capri RS 3100, with subtle hints from the Jaguar XJS around the rear quarter. The badge shape and positioning is taken from the 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback.

They can often appear rusted, but only the I6 variant.

Performance[]

It has great handling for such an old car, staying very planted on roads with minimal bodyroll. It rarely understeers and is hard to make oversteer, all while being stable on dirt. It's not the best for top speed however.
