"It's not known why Algiers was renamed to Altuns. Some say the city government decided to rename it after someone, while others say it may have been just a spontaneous decision. Even others say it may be related to the cities being renamed around the world and Algiers just followed suit. In the end, it's not known why this city was renamed. Food and water supplies are plentiful, though."
