This article is about a historical event at North Rusan.
Background[]
When North Rusan achieved independence in 1989, the British military left behind some stuff that the North Rusanian armed forces took into their military. But a year later, North Rusan began to design some of their own vehicles and weapons.
Two years later, a neighboring country, Coloand, surprise attacked the island of North Rusan. The obsidian walls were strong, but there was one Achilles's heel in the walls: there was a narrow strip of river flowing into the interior of North Rusan, and the Coloands exploited it.
The river led to a beach, but it was manned by the most elite of the North Rusanian armed forces. However, their numbers were too low, and they had to retreat inside the island.
Fighting took place all over the island, and there was no international intervention save for observing.
After fighting for one year, despite outnumbering the North Rusanians five to one, the Colodans retreated, suffering almost all their armed forces dead. However, the North Rusanians had also paid a heavy price: their military save for the VI Praetorian Regiment, IX Centuria Regiment, and XVII Grenadiers Legion were all but wiped out.
